Vicente – Orchid, how did you enjoy the shoot today?
Orchid – I felt really honored to be able to do that with you, on your top surgery anniversary.
Yeah.
– Yeah.
Orchid – And I had a lot of fun. I’ve always wanted to sort of, like, drag the corny, porn opening. And just, you know, even the cringe of it. And so it was really fun to just like be able to do the corny parts of it and that be like a playful thing. In a time where, some, there’s just like wanting to be more un-seriousness.
Yeah.
– Yeah.
Orchid – How did you enjoy the shoot?
Vicente – Yeah. It was so- it was fun. I feel like for me it feels really important to learn how to like express my erotic power. And I really crave seeing more like, trans men and trans masculine people like, really exulted in porn. And also not upholding necessarily like, toxic masculinity of, these binaries around what masculinity is supposed to look like. And, it was cool to get to play with that a little bit today for sure.
– Yeah.
Orchid – I really enjoyed holding you at the end.
Vicente – Me too. That was a great part.
Yeah.
Vicente – So Orchid, what did you enjoy most about the shoot today?
Orchid – So many things. One of them was I’ve always wanted to do, like the corny parts of porn. Also just to celebrate, like sometimes the awkwardness of, like, connection and just be able to juge that up.
– Yeah, yeah.
Orchid – And I also really enjoyed just like having the opportunity to hold you. I really feel like in my erotic archetype I like being able to express sort of like nurturing ness and also like protectiveness.
Yeah.
– Yeah.
Vicente – I think for me I really appreciated, being able to express erotic power and to like be part of representation that I wish I saw more in like porn or erotic art, which is like trans men, trans masculine people like really exalted and also like not upholding systems of toxic masculinity as like what is considered like sexy or erotic. So that was cool to play with you. And also, I just love worshiping you. So there’s that too, It was just easy for me to do.
Yeah.
– Yeah.
Orchid – You did a good job.
Vicente – Thank you.
Orchid – Vicente, Vicente D.
Vicente – Yes
Orchid – What was challenging, if anything, about this shoot?
Vicente – I mean, I think the only thing that’s challenging is like getting in my head about, like do I look good or, like, does that make sense? Or. And every time I went into my head, I would just drop back into my body and just focus on you. And that was really helpful to like, ground.
Yeah.
Vicente – It wasn’t actually super challenging, just, a growth edge. It felt like. What about for you?
Orchid – Yeah. I feel like, you know, I came on set like with menstruating, and I feel like, as a non-binary human, sometimes that feels, like, uncomfortable to just be aware. Something to track about what can be shared like on set and, like, how to keep myself in it and not overly like being able to trust, like, these really rad, like videographers and directors just be like, it’s okay, I’ll let you know. And like, try to release.
Vicente – Yeah.
Orchid – So honestly, just like, building in the practice of intimacy in that way. What else? Yeah, sometimes. Just like what it means to lean into, like, my desire to be campy can be hard, and. Yeah, I think that’s it, though. Yeah. I mostly just had a great time.
Vicente – Me too.
– Yeah.
Orchid – Can I ask you what you do for your safer sex practices?
Vicente – Yeah. I feel like, it’s really important to me to make sure that I am getting tested regularly if I’m having multiple partners. And just making sure that I’m, upfront with sexual partners and sensual play partners just around, like, this is the ecosystem of play that I’m having right now as we meet and just making sure that everybody is consenting into that. I just know that, like, so much of the queer and trans sex education that exists is like, really, really like hard to find.
And so I think a lot of times, we’re sort of learning in real time how to, how to care for each other. But for me, safer sex practice is like the ultimate community care to do. So it feels really important to make sure I’m upfront and transparent.
– How about you?
Orchid – Yeah, I would pretty much echo, similar things, I think, I would add and, like, ripple out that just like being communicative and open. Just keeping each other informed, and having like sort of an embodiment around what self consent feels like or like what being self informed looks like, and just practicing that within myself. Feels important.
Vicente – For sure.
Orchid – And yeah, just accessing like local LGBTQ like center resources and like tapping into those, yeah.
– Yeah. Thanks.
Vicente – I think if you’ve done porn before, which it sounds like you have, why do you continue to do it?
Orchid – I think that one of my biggest values or like also part of my, my biggest magic, is just the desire to want to pour pleasure into my communities and, being able to both feel like really held and autonomous and almost like, especially right now, I’m exploring. What does it mean for me to be gender relaxed? And not maybe like performing towards a system I don’t care about, but what does it mean for me to perform for fun?
Vicente – Yeah.
Orchid – Has been like a new curiosity, like within the whorearchy that I’ve been curious about. And also I think that similarly, I wish that I had more access to, like, seeing literally myself on screen.
Vicente – Yeah.
Orchid – So I was like, why don’t I literally just be on screen?
Vicente – Yeah, what a blessing, honestly.
Orchid – And I love masturbating to myself. So,
Vicente – We love auto erotica.
Orchid – Yes!
Orchid – There’s so many other reasons why, but, I’ll pause there.
Vicente – Nice.
Orchid – And Vicente, how was your first ever debut?
Vicente – Yeah. I mean, I’ve made, like, home videos of porn, in my life, but this is the first time I’ve done, like, a professional level porn shoot. And I’m so grateful to the CrashPad folks, because I feel like, it made this feel a lot less scary than I could make up in my brain.
But mostly I just feel really committed to, like, making sure that trans people and trans masculine people, trans men, feel like we get to be represented in the porn industry in a really beautiful and expansive way. And I am craving seeing more of that. And so similar to you, I was like, well, why wouldn’t I be the thing I want to see, you know? So I’m excited. I’m excited. It feels like, a new chapter and a really cool way.
Orchid – Vicente. If you were a sex toy what would you be?
Vicente – Oh my God, I’d be a Magic Wand every day of the week. I — honestly — Magic Wand, sponsor me, please. Because I love ya’ll Yes. I’m a big magic wand… Big magic wand energy. Honestly.
Orchid – I hear you hum.
Vicente – How about you, Orchid?
Orchid – I really think that my favorite, like, sex toy, as an eco eco-sensual person, It’s just like, having, like, a bunch of, like, orchid petals on my body and just looking or like the, like, hot water… meeting… Hot ocean water meeting, like, cold fresh water. That’s not a “toy” but like yeah my first masturbation experience was just like with bath water. So there’s something about just like water being like — maybe a little squirt gun. Yeah. Like anyone? Hose me down! But yeah, it’s something about just, like, being eco sensual with plants. Hence, Orchid Lust.
Vicente – That’s right, that’s right. Thank you.
Vicente – I think a statement for you, is just thank you for, holding me so profoundly in all the ways and for like exalting all that I am in very beautiful ways and means so much and I think just a message to trans people. I love y’all. I love us, and I really think we deserve every beautiful fucking thing in the world. And I really hope we continue to find ways of feeling free, no matter what it is that we’re going through. And, yeah, I just I love trans people and I want us to be held better and with more love and more abundance. So, yeah, just sending y’all a lot of love for the trans folks watching.
Orchid – I think all I want to say is I hope that we all can continue centering play with each other. And centering erotic joy. Yeah. As one way to access like liberation and practicing imagination and fantasy. And that I’m so grateful that I do my first ever CrashPad with you.
Both – Yay! Yay!
