Ember: So how did you enjoy the shoot?

Ramses: I have a lot of fun.

Ember: Okay, good! Yeah

Ramses: How about you?

Ember: I loved it. Yeah
(Giggles)

Both: Yeah

Ramses: It was your first shoot, too?

Ember: It was my first professional shoot. Yeah. Not just me in my room filming myself.
Yeah (Laughs)

Ramses: Cool. How – what did you like about this experience?

Ember: I liked how easy it was. Yeah, I could just focus on enjoying myself, enjoying the sex and having fun connecting with you and not have to worry about all the technical aspects of it. What about you?

Ramses: Yeah, I mean, I think that’s what I like the most. When we make our own stuff we have to do everything.

Ember: Yeah

Ramses: It’s nice to take a break and get to just focus on the performance and the connection and the sex.

Ember: Yeah. Yeah, what I’m good at!
(Laughs)

Ramses: So what was challenging for you about the shoot?

Ember: At first I was a little nervous, just for the first five minutes or so. It took a little while to get into it. It’s also that I like having music when I have sex. (Laughs) So it was really quiet. No sounds…

Ramses: Yeah.

Ember: I feel like I just need sound… I was like, I just need sound in my head. Yeah. Just to feel like I’m getting into the groove of it. I was having a little bit of a hard time getting hard… I don’t know. I get hard off and on.

Ramses: Yeah

Ember: As it is, for… for me

Ramses: Yeah, I feel like that part isn’t as important to me, whether you get hard, it’s more about enjoying the sensation and feeling each other, and tasting each other…I don’t feel so much of that pressure. The challenging part is always figuring out where you’ve left the last thing you put down.
(Laughs)

Ember: Yes.

Ramses: And not being too fumble-y about it. It’s just fun. That’s what real sex is like, right? Shit happens, you laugh, you bump your head…

Ember: Uh huh!

Ramses: So what are your safer sex practices?

Ember: Regular testing…I don’t know why, when I was younger, it was hard for me to get regularly tested and it’s easier for me to have that peace of mind and then I can just…Really just tell people like, “I was tested at this time…” and give them the information. I think communication, you know, in general is always good. And how well I know somebody and can trust them.

Ramses: My safer sex practices usually involve gloves, condoms, communication as well. And testing is always important. Always knowing your status. Now not just with STI’s but COVID and all that, too.

Ember: Yeah. Why do you continue to do porn?

Ramses: I continue to do porn because it’s my favorite form of artistic expression.

Ember: Uh huh!

Ramses: I feel like the place I can be the most authentic.

Ember: Mmm

Ramses: What about you? What got you into wanting to do this?

Ember: It was something that’s been on my mind. You know, I’ve been an exotic dancer for a long time, and it’s been really fun, learning how to translate those skills and stuff onto camera and explore it as a new art form. So that’s been very fun. And I’ve been enjoying collaborating with people too.

Ramses: Yeah. What’s your favorite part of quarantine?

Ember: I actually really enjoy the unemployment benefits. (laughs) That was just nice. I really did not like my job that I had right before quarantine happened. So then, when they shut down I was like, Oh thank God, I can leave! and then I got to have a lot of time to spend learning Adobe Photoshop and video editing and I got more in writing and, yeah. It’s been fun to get into like my creative processes.

Ramses: I think my favorite part of quarantine was… also not working.

Ember: Uh huh.

Ramses: My day job paid for me to not work. So I got fortunate in that regard, but I did enjoy that we all had to slow down. It also brought opportunities for family to get closer too, even though we couldn’t physically see each other. We FaceTime’d more. It felt like more of an important thing to do. I just enjoyed spending more time at home.

Ember: Mm.

Ramses: So that was really my favorite part.
