Sadie Lune: How did you enjoy the shoot today?
Hayley Fingersmith: It was wonderful. (nods) I had a really really good time. (grins) It was…
Sadie Lune: (nods) Cool.
Hayley Fingersmith: What about you?
Sadie Lune: Oh, I also had a really good time. I’m not terribly verbal right now, which is a good sign.
Hayley Fingersmith: (giggles) ya…I don’t know why… These post sex interviews are often sort of stuttery. (grins) Not –
Sadie Lune: (laughs)
Hayley Fingersmith: – Not very eloquent
(cut)
(A little sex scene)
Hayley Fingersmith: What did you find challenging? About the shoot.
Sadie Lune: Um…….
Hayley Fingersmith: Or nothing. Maybe it was always perfect.
Sadie Lune: Oh! I gave myself a personal challenge.
Hayley Fingersmith: Hm!
Sadie Lune: Which was that I wanted to…come without using a Hitachi on film. Cuz that has not been…recorded very much. Erm…but I knew it was possible. And so…that was a fun challenge though.
Hayley Fingersmith: It seems that you best at it.
Sadie Lune: I did! I beat that fucker! Erm…
Hayley Fingersmith: Not to…spoilers
Sadie Lune: (laughs) and…other challenging…er…you and er…you what er, tell me what you found challenging and then I’ll think of it if I had any other challenging moments.
Hayley Fingersmith: Hm…(thinks) Honestly, there were not a lot of like really serious challenges
(giggle) than this side.
Sadie Lune: I guess for me I also was just wondering if we were going to bring up this narrative that we kind of came up with into it at any point, and there were certain point where I felt like “Oh I should say blablablablablabla” to like tie it all together. But then I was like “we basically nev… we hardly even said anything to set it up.
Hayley Fingersmith: (giggle)
Sadie Lune: Even though in our mind, it… You know it’s like when you read a script –
Hayley Fingersmith: Right
Sadie Lune: – you have to like write the profile of like every character, even though its like never comes up. It was like we had the back story, but like why…why bring it into the sex if it didn’t even need to be there.
Hayley Fingersmith: I was…I…I caught myself from saying like “Oh! This is so much better than the last time I had a girl” (giggle) Or something like that, but it didn’t…
Sadie Lune: You could have said that.
Hayley Fingersmith: I could’ve. I could have.
(cut)
(Small sex scene)
Sadie Lune: What are your safest sex practices? And why?
Hayley Fingersmith: Erm…I get tested a lot in my partners do too, and I’m not actually especially diligent about barrier use, but I do when my partners want to or in situations where I feel like it’s a good idea. (nod)
Sadie Lune: I…oh! Now you’re asking me.
Hayley Fingersmith: Oh ya, what are yours?
Sadie Lune: Erm my safer sex practices are…erm…I…I would say probably in the 90 percentile. I purpose professional and public ..er…professional and personal sex. I use barriers for oral and…like penetration, fucking. Erm…and…so, like regardless of genitalia, or er…penetrator object, let’s say. Erm…and…why? It’s because I kind of just decided…why is complicated, but basically, I’m a broke queer that hasn’t had insurance since I have been an adult, and because of that, like going to the doctor and dealing with health care stuff is like more of an ordeal than it might be for other people. And…so I feel like it’s responsible of me to, like for my own sake, to be prophylactic about erm, just trying to be preventative as much as possible. Plus, I’m slutty when I’m lucky…
Hayley Fingersmith: (laughs)
Sadie Lune: Erm…but I’m…I aspire to sluttiness, and I’m a sex worker. And therefore, there are like multiple van diagrams of community that kind of like overlap in my genitals and I want to protect these peo…I feel like it’s my responsibility to my communities to do what I can to…erm…not transmit things. And I also try, although I’ve got a little bit out of practice with this lately, to have conversations before I have sex with people about their testing status and barrier use, and things like that. And I feel that’s nice to just open up the door of communication about…like, that like…I’m…I’m…I’m not particularly afraid of STIs, I think it’s totally fine. You can have an STI, let’s just talk about it. Like…I’m not gonna not have sex with someone because they have an STI, but erm…but let’s talk about it and like figure out together like how to…how to manage the whole thing and I appreciate that. And then I also get tested pretty regularly. Erm…although since…since pregnancy, my….my quan..quantity of partners has dropped a lot, so erm…so, not at this point as…as regularly as I used to be, but generally like every 3-6 months.
Hayley Fingersmith: (nod) Yep, I should of, in our conversation, I should have mentioned that erm…I was tested two days ago.
Sadie Lune: Ok.
Hayley Fingersmith: (giggle)
Sadie Lune: Cool.
Hayley Fingersmith: It’s good to know (laugh)
Sadie Lune: I feel like using barriers is a more…it’s…it’s preferable to me as a reliable, like…
Hayley Fingersmith: It’s definitely more reliable
Sadie Lune: Oh the runfair is calling me. I’m sorry. Should I go turn it off?
(Small sex scene)
Hayley Fingersmith: Why do you continue doing porn Sadie?
Sadie Lune: (laughs) Good question! Erm…
Hayley Fingersmith: Such hard work, so dangerous.
Sadie Lune: Well I’m…pff, I’m a sex worker and that’s like what I’ve done, and that’s like the work that I do, and so porn is part of that and…and…that’s just…it’s the way I would rather kind of spend my time for the kind of money that can happen. But also because it’s fun! And I get to have sex with people that I wouldn’t normally like…have the guts to just be like “Hey! Would you like to have sex with me?” like it’s a really nice container to get people to have sex with me and then I get paid and so it’s pretty win-win in that way.
Hayley Fingersmith: (laughs)
Sadie Lune: And it’s…I…I just like, I like making erm…video footage erm…so I…I don’t know. I like the process of it. It’s fun.
Hayley Fingersmith: Ya, I remember the…my very first shoot. I…Tibby hands me this check afterwards, and I was like “Right! Right…right…I get paid for this. This is work. HAHAHAHA” and that’s…I don’t know…that’s why I keep doing it.
Sadie Lune: Ya (nods)
Hayley Fingersmith: It’s like…I enjoy…I really like the community, I like the product, I like creating this art (nods). I like hanging with you lot.
Sadie Lune: Ya (nods). The behind the scenes pornographers. They are all pretty nice.
Hayley Fingersmith: Mhm. Amazing. And I like sleeping with cute people. Do you have any statements about beard combs?
Sadie Lune: OH MY GOD! Fucking beard combs! Erg! No..ya…no. Big things about beard combs.
Hayley Fingersmith: They are… They are only acceptable if you’re 45 years old thing.
Sadie Lune: (laughs) ya, ya. That is my closing statement. If you’re gonna comb your beard publicly, you better be fulling within middle age. And…And … And! And be charming on top of it so that it’s part of your eccentric iconoclastic charming behavior like “Oh! He’s the guy that combs his beard publicly”. If you’re in your fucking early thirties, put the comb down. (Laughs)
Hayley Fingersmith: But…bush combs are always…always acceptable.
Sadie Lune: Ya. Comb your bush. You know. Here and there.
Hayley Fingersmith: But use a nice comb. The mother of pearl hair.
Sadie Lune: Erg! I don’t give a care! Whatever.
Hayley Fingersmith: (laughs)
Sadie Lune: (Yawns) Ok! Do you have any closing statements?
Hayley Fingersmith: I don’t think so. I erm…I really had a good shoot video.
Sadie Lune: Ya! Me too! It was super fun!
Hayley Fingersmith: Ya (laughs)
Sadie Lune: And I…I’m really dazed and that’s a nice feeling to have. I haven’t had that feeling in a while so…ya…er thank you Shine for continuing to hire me to have sex with people that I normally wouldn’t ask to have sex with so that like…it really helps my mental health to continue to make pornography in this way.
Both giggle and kisses.
