Ned Mayhem: So, Maggie, how’d you enjoy the shoot today?

Maggie Mayhem: I had fun today. It was definitely a heat wave here in the Bay Area, but I had fun, I have fun when we get to be geeky together…

Ned Mayhem: Always.

Maggie Mayhem: …and I get kind of used to you becoming a sweaty, sweaty, sweaty beast, to the point where it starts to get kind of sexy, and I can definitely feel in tune with all of your…wetness.

Ned Mayhem: (laughs) Well, that happens anyways, but today with it pushing 90 degrees, it was quicker and more sweaty than ever.

Maggie Mayhem: How did you like the shoot today, Ned?

Ned Mayhem: I had a great time; it’s always fun to play with you. And geeking out with measurements and all sort of fun things. But you know, I’m getting over being sick, and with this really hot weather, it takes a drain on my body. Luckily I can still get my fingers working and my tongue up in you and…

Maggie Mayhem: Yeah, and sex is not something that is very dick-centric or your-dick-centric.

Ned Mayhem: Not our sex, certainly.

Maggie Mayhem: So, I guess going along with challenging, what would you say was the most
challenging thing that you had to deal with today?

Ned Mayhem: I don’t have as much energy as I usually do just because I’ve been ill recently, so it’s interesting adjusting how I’m having sex with a different amount of physical energy. And it just means using different tools and using different methods, and still having a great time, but trying new things. And I always like new things in sex. The more new things, the better, the more different ways to have sex, the more fun.

Maggie Mayhem: So kind of like reconciling pornovision with the reality of what was happening with your body today.

Ned Mayhem: Yeah, exactly. Trying to improvise and use what I have for a fun shoot, and it seemed like you were at least having…

Maggie Mayhem: I was…

Ned Mayhem: Some of the things I was doing were…

Maggie Mayhem: Some of the challenges for me were actually really funny in the reverse. I came, and so the Hitachi was super super super a lot for me, but you were very focused on that for you, and so I kept veering away, but you were wanting more, so I just went with that because it’s a fun tease game and because I know that more vibration isn’t going to make it worse for me no matter how sensitive it might feel. So it’s one of those things I can remember but I was also laughing on the inside at the reverse logic of it.

Ned Mayhem: Of how I wanted the vibrator, and you weren’t. It’s funny.

Maggie Mayhem: And I was like, “Why are you bringing the vibrator back into the sex?”

Ned Mayhem: But it feels so good on my cock…

Maggie Mayhem: Tell me a little bit about what you’re doing in porn. What’s a nice guy like you doing in a tawdry business like this?

Ned Mayhem: Well, I was very innocent, and then I met this harlot who just corrupted me a few years ago. I’m sure you have no idea who I mean.

Maggie Mayhem: Yeah.

Ned Mayhem: I started out doing porn because I thought it would be fun and kind of transgressive, but at this point I’m sticking in it because I really feel strongly about destigmatizing sex and sex work and it’s a fun part of my life. I don’t feel like my work in science would be enough to make me feel like I’m a rounded and fulfilled person. Porn is a way to be creative and learn a lot of new skills and also to do something that I think is important from a social justice perspective. And what about you, why are you in porn?

Maggie Mayhem: You know, I come here and this question is always a really intense one because my relationship to porn changes between every shoot. But I got into porn ostensibly to immortalize my youth and I have stuck with porn and I’ve continued making porn and gotten more dedicated to it because we’re still not at a place yet where we’ve accepted the humanity of our fellow humans, and porn is one way that I can do that. So there is the social justice aspect. And I also think I have fun perverting the way our relationship looks with the bodies we have and the relationship we have, and it is fun, it’s like this last laugh that we walk down the street and there’s this world that we go to where you have this incredibly sexuality that feels like it’s getting broader as we go, and so is mine, and maybe I’m just chasing myself across the universe and doing it in porn.

Ned Mayhem: That’s a good way to put it, I like that.

Maggie Mayhem: It’s fun in general, and I love you and I had fun today.
