INTRO MUSIC
Freya: How did you enjoy the shoot today?
Tea: It’s so lovely. Um, yeah. Being my first time here, I couldn’t have imagined a better shoot. At least in my — in my opinion.
Freya: Yeah.Â
– You know
Tea: So, yeah, I was very nervous going into it.
Of course.
Tea: Uh, even though I have done it on my own.
Freya: Right.
But there’s not anyone else around me before, so this was. Almost like a task.
Yeah.
Can you fuck in front of people?
Apparently, yes…
Yeah.
Yeah, sure.
And, um. Yeah, that’s. That’s how I feel. I really enjoyed this. Everyone did a wonderful job. I feel very comfortable being here.
Freya:Â That’s great.
And I really enjoyed doing the shoot with you.
Yeah. Yeah. What about you?
Yeah, this was, um…
Freya: I was telling you earlier, this has been one of the more easier shoots that I’ve done at CrashPad. And I don’t know if it’s, like, what it is… Like, maybe it’s compatibility. Maybe it’s just that you’re easy to work with.
I had a lot of fun, yeah!
– I’m glad to hear that.
LAUGHS
Freya: What did you find to be the most challenging part of the shoot today?
Tea: I think, in my personal opinion, the scene changes. It’s kind of like can I keep the high of the moment. And then I kind of pause it, and then change and then go back into it kind of thing. It’s like it can be a little bit of a rollercoaster. But the great thing I felt about filming with you is that it was very natural to go back into it easily. I mean, you know, there’s my own personal limitations that I have for myself that doesn’t like, you know, physically get me into a role or whatever it might be but like at least for me mentally, I’m there. So yeah.
What about you?
Freya: Well, typically for shoots like this, I’m always concerned that we don’t go for
Tea: – the time?
Freya: Yeah, the X amount of time that we have. But this time I feel like we were right up until the very end. And so that part just made me feel happy. So I guess there wasn’t really much that was difficult (LAUGHS) about the shoot
Yeah.
Freya: What are your safer sex practices and why?
Tea: So even in my personal life, I tend to not actually have the most prolific of sexual experience. With that being said, anytime I experience a new partner, I always make sure that we do use condoms or if there is any time that you know, uh, I haven’t used dental dam before, but yeah, always condoms. And making sure that we talk about our, um…
Freya: – Status?
Tea: Status. Yeah. And our checking-in and making sure that we’re fully clear. Yeah, I’m happy to know that even my most recent tests are all clear.
Freya:Â That’s great.
Tea: Yeah.Â
Freya:Â – Yeah.
Tea: And having that, uh, yeah, that tends to be the case because. Yeah, just. I tend to be on my own a lot more so. But. Yeah.
Freya: – Right.
Tea:Â Yeah.
Freya: I have similar sex practices, that you do. Um, communication is great, talking to partners, um, understanding what the other person’s status is, getting tested regularly. Um, before the shoot, I did not get tested like I had been tested a couple of months prior. But also I haven’t been with anyone other than my partner.
Tea:Â Yeah.
Freya: So and she gets tested more quickly than I do, um, because she’s trans and for some reason doctors allow trans people to get tested more frequently. I mean, I know the reasons why, but.
Tea: Yeah, I get a blood test every, um, it used to be every month, but now it’s more like quarterly. But yeah, yeah, yeah. My blood drawn and everything.Â
Yeah.
It’s hard to convince my insurance company to test me regularly.
They’re like, oh, you’re… you’re femme-presenting or whatever. So that means that statistically…
– regular
You’re not going to be sleeping around
So therefore you don’t need it sort of thing.
And I’m like, But do you know me? Do you know my community? LAUGHS
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know what you mean.
Yeah.
I’m shopping around for newer health insurance people and so hopefully I’m in a place where, yeah, this would be a more common practice.
Yeah. Okay. So have you done porn before? And if not, why did you decide to do it today with me?
So, um, I have not. This is technically my first time in terms of with a partner. Shoot. Um, I have done, say, camming on my own, and it was always something that I have control of my own. And even then, the main reason why I got into it is because I felt confident in my own body. Um, at least two and a half years into my HRT,
Freya:Â Awesome.
Tea: and I felt very confident about my own body and I want to show it to the world. LAUGHS Yeah, just that kind of thing.
Freya: I see!
Tea: Yeah. Yeah. It’s kind of weird because I am such an introverted person. You wont know, you can’t know. I got very used to talking to people, sometimes forced into talking to people. I used to work in the service industry. So, uh, yeah, I kind of like, make me get myself into it. And then I kept going for it.Â
Freya: You’d be surprised at how many introverts do porn.
Tea: I kind of feel like that!
Freya: It’s actually really common.
Tea: What about you then? Does that apply to you?
Freya: Oh, yes. And I have been shooting porn since 2014, so it’ll be coming up on my ten year anniversary. Well, I guess nine year anniversary
Tea:Â Cool
Freya: Yeah. And um… I got into it because I, um, I was doing other forms of sex work, like being a pro dom, and it just seemed like a natural progression, like, Oh, I’m doing this. Why not do it on camera? And then the idea of like people getting off to me getting off was also really hot to me.
Tea: That’s very cool.
Freya: Yeah, I yeah, that’s why I do it. LAUGHS
I’m happy that I got to work with you.
And I’m happy that you’re actually my first in that sense.Â
Freya: I mean, I wasn’t your first pick…
Tea:Â No, but still…like I, I would put forth a. Like, I appreciate that more that what happened was actually what matters for me, even if you weren’t my first pick, there were a lot of options, just saying
Freya: Yeah.
LAUGHS
Tea: But I’m, I’m happy that you’re actually the first person that actually I could do the shoot with.
Freya: I’m glad that you had a good time.
Tea: I had a great time
Freya:Â Good!
Tea: Thank you!
yeah.
Freya:Â So Tea, what was your favorite thing about quarantine.
Tea:Â So I actually um when the quarantine started, I actually worked in a place where we didn’t shut down at all. So I was always out there and I mean, for me, my favorite thing was like this not slow transition, but like the, the learning curve of how people kind of figure out what works for us in protecting each other. So like, we were the frontline workers, right? And so we ended up noticing, okay, this makes it the safest practice. We do it this way and this way and this way and then like, as, as like even three in the CDC start changing their own curve and like, we kind of, like, follow along and we still continue to operate and provide sustenance for people. And like, people can actually still go out and find a place to have a sense of community at the place I used to work at, Uh, and so like people gather around, they can do the things, but like in a very safe and secure manner. And like for me that was my favorite part. Unfortunately it didn’t feel too different for the life that used to live LAUGHS So it felt almost the same, just with the mask, and with some extra hand-washing practices. And so that’s pretty much it. Yeah, for me, yeah, yeah. The community building aspect, even in a very distancing practice, tends to be my favorite type of memory of it.Â
Freya: That’s awesome.
Tea: Yeah,
Freya: It sounds almost lucky to have been…
Tea: yeah
But I’m not going to say that because I know that that wasn’t the case for everyone. Except for the part where people would just come in trolleys and purchase things
Anyways.
Purchase all the T.P.
Oh my God. Anyways!
So I guess my favorite part about quarantine was I was forced, I think, to start cooking more and yeah, I ate out a lot pre-pandemic as one tends to do in the Bay Area. It’s there’s so much great food here but I had to quickly learn how to cook. I guess I, I knew how to cook like I could follow directions.
Right.
I can read a recipe and follow directions, I definitely got better at cooking. As you can tell, my ass got bigger. Like if you see before and after pictures. LAUGHS
Tea: What’s the issue here?
Freya: Either the food was my favorite part, or my fat ass was my favorite part. One of those two things!
Tea: Because of my HRT, my ass also got bigger!
Freya: Yay!
Yay, all the right places.
Tea: Well, that’s awesome. What was your favorite stuff to cook? What was your favorite dish?
Freya: My favorite dish. So I guess it depends. I, I love making, like, pulled pork tacos and I love making, like, roast beef and potatoes. Like, those are both, like, very hearty.
Tea: Oh, yeah.
Freya: Chicken and dumplings. Oh, my goodness.
Tea: I make dumplings all the time.
(AVA, off camera) Okay.
Tea: Sorry!
Ava – That’s all good
Ava: Anything else you’d like to say or mention?
Tea: You guys are amazing. Thank you so much.
