A review of CrashPad Series Episode 10: Vai’s Solo by guest blogger, Alex.

A few months back, I was in my Women of Color Feminisms class and the topic of porn came up. As a queer person, I started to rant about how the porn companies these days only care to deliver a limited representation of what sex looks, sounds, feels, and tastes like. Mid-rant I realized that I was talking about being fed up with performed, “fake” lesbian orgasms to a classroom that was half undergraduate students (who also happened to be students in the classes I was teaching) and I quickly shut up. My professor, who was entertained by my face turning bright red, laughed and sat back waiting for someone to respond to me.

The silence was interrupted when one of my peers, asked me: “What kind of porn are you watching? Whatever it is, you are watching the wrong kind for you.”

It was in this moment that I was introduced to CrashPadSeries and some of its stars like Jiz Lee and James Darling. Diving into the website, I found lo and behold that I could get a free month-long membership if I were to write a review of an episode or transcribe an interview! ~Swoon~

As I was looking for episodes to review, I scanned through the icons to choose which kind of sex I wanted to explore and decided to look more into fisting.

Just as background information, I have never fisted or been fisted or even seen what fisting looked like until watching CrashPad Series. I’m embarrassed now to say, that my preconceived idea of fisting was someone taking their closed fist and jamming it inside their partner (insert teeth grinding emoji here). Within the first couple minutes of the fisting episode, I was so intrigued that I watched three episodes in a row and had an aching neck from being so hunched over staring into the computer screen. In a little over an hour I had learned so much and was so blown away! I called up one of my previous partners and asked them why we had never fisted before jajaja. Throughout our phone conversation, we made the agreement to try it next time we saw one another. But after hanging up the phone, I realized that I didn’t want to wait that long and began to wonder how/if I could try it by myself first.

Needless to say y’all, I was ecstatic when I found my newly favorite CrashPad Series star, Vai, had their own solo episode in which fisting went down. The episode starts with Vai innocently trying to get some studying in, but becomes distracted when memories of a steamy rendezvous with Jiz Lee creeps into their mind. At first Vai is half distractedly touching themself, but the episode takes a turn when they ditch their school book for a more exciting endeavor.

They whip out a bandana to use as a blindfold and a belt to tie up their ankles before carrying on with the self lovin’. At this point in the episode, Vai is making noises that are enough to get any ordinary folk on the street going. Every sound – from moans, breathing and giggling to their hand and finger movement – is captured on film allowing the viewer to get full-blown experience of Vai getting off. Again, again, again and again. Let me tell you, there is nothing more inspiring than seeing someone get off that hard BY THEMSELVES. If that don’t scream feminism, then I don’t know what does.

I also found it so refreshing that throughout the episode, Vai is completely at ease. The entire episode seemed so natural and in the ordinary, that it wasn’t until they speak to the camera (after they get a lil somethin’ somethin’ in their eye) that I even remembered that they weren’t completely alone.

Unlike most porn solos, Vai’s wasn’t over-the-top theatrical at all. It seemed like a genuine solo session, which is one of the main aspects that differentiates CrashPadSeries from other porn companies. Not only does the viewer get to see a hawt sesh of fisting, squirting, and bondage but we also get exposed to such variety in terms of the actors’ identities and types of sexual practices that are never presented or discussed in mainstream society. CrashPad is a much-needed educational (and recreational) resource for blossoming queerlings as well as matured queers who are looking for new ways to understand and explore their sexuality.

Needless to say, by the end of the episode I found myself making a checklist of new things to try and ready to take on the the challenge of out squirting Vai. While I know it will take a lot of practice, it’ll be time well spent. P.S. Did I mention how PERFECT the mullet is? Bring it back, Vai!
