TODD: How did you enjoy the shoot today?
CYD: No no no, How did you enjoy the shoot today Todd?
TODD: It was fun. I enjoyed it very much. Uhm, I’ve never done this before so a lot of firsts today.
CYD: Porn? You’ve never done porn before?
TODD: I’ve never done porn before

CYD: It was really fun, I liked it. It was kind of interesting because you’re the first person I’ve shot with for the CrashPad that I hadn’t hooked up with before

CYD: and so it was really interesting to be like trying to figure out dynamics as it happened, and kind of like test the waters

CYD: And see how you responded to, it was a lot of fun

CYD: is there anything you found challenging about the shoot today?
TODD: uhm, not really. Challenging, I don’t think would be a word that I would use for this. I mean I guess it’s always a challenge for me just to let go
CYD: Mmhmm
TODD: so, but that was kind of the character too so, that worked
CYD: yeah
TODD: Was there anything that you found challenging about the shoot today?
CYD: I think just like the thing that I was talking about before
TODD: figuring out
CYD: figuring out like where you were at and stuff, but uhm it was a challenge to stick my whole fist in your front hole
TODD: (laughs)
CYD: that was a challenge (laughs) I’m crude.

CYD: just breathe. (Heavy breathing) A little bit more. It’s in. Good boy.

CYD: You’ve never done porn before, so what made you decide to do CrashPad?
TODD: I was working on a research project about sex work for a sociology class and I, you know the more that I was looking at stuff and the more that I was working on it, I realized that I myself am very turned on by the idea, and also like I don’t have any moral qualms about it and discovering that about myself made me interested and wanting to do it because it was just like Oh, you know I’m actually interested, I actually have no problem with it and
CYD: Mmhmm
TODD: would like to try that, so
CYD: So how do you feel about it now? You ready to go on and be a porn star?
TODD: Not a porn star, but I wouldn’t object to doing more
CYD: awesome
TODD: So, school makes you interested in porn.
CYD: (laughs) that’s what we get all grant money for.
TODD: yeah, Government hates it. They are promoting queer porn.
CYD: Mmhmm totally.
TODD: So, I know you’ve done porn before so what keeps you continuing to do porn, or what makes you interested in continuing
CYD: I mean, I’ve done sex work for a whole lot of years. In a way it’s kind of habitual, or just my job but with CrashPad it’s kind of interesting because the first CrashPad shoot that I did I talked about the first week I moved into my house in San Francisco, so it’s been like kind of this crazy archive of my life here, you know what my body looked like as someone who is trans and start taking hormones or whatever and people that I’ve dated and been close to, and it’s kind of like a family photo album in a way, the CrashPad Series. (Laughs) Over time, it’s really cute, I like it.
TODD: I’m sorry I have this picture of you showing this to the grandkids like, and here’s my photo album!
CYD: uhm, I totally do. I have no shame, at all. Especially shame of my body
TODD: that’s great!
CYD: Yeah, I guess so (laughs)
