[clip opens with two Shines]
SHINE (RIGHT): Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston and I’m here today to talk about adult cinema and the first thing that you need to make adult cinema is of course a model, now sometimes you only need one model, sometimes you need two models. Now the next thing you need is a location, let’s say, a bed. So then you have your models, you have your bed. Next thing you need is cameras. Now generally, we use two. So you have Camera A, you have Camera B, they are lined up in a 130 degree angle apart from each other…uhm… that gives us the shot and reverse shot because basically what we’re looking for is to create this nice eye line match between both of the models so really what we’re capturing is the emotional dialogue that is happening between both of the models and… then also what we do or what is good to do is to actually be able to move these cameras around the models in a complete 180 degree angle so we can get full coverage of the action. Uhm now sometimes what people want to see is the insertion. So they want to see things going in the hole which is very very important in porn, you definitely want to see the action but the action is nothing without the reaction so that’s essentially why we use two cameras so not only do we see the action but you see the most important thing to the action which is the reaction to the action which really makes the whole thing very hot. Now, I’m direction so I’m always staying in between the 130 that happens here and here so essentially what you’ve got is a whole room of people watching live sex. So, I mean, it’s quite, it’s quite an amazing process.
SHINE (LEFT): So really, talking about porn is like ??? (I think Shine might be saying dancing about architecture).
SHINE (RIGHT): Exactly! Right.
[cut to bedroom scene]
SWEET TEA: That was weird (laughs).
VOICE OFF CAMERA: I laughed. (Sweet Tea laughs) Sorry. I laugh when you say that.

SHINE (LEFT): Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston.
SHINE (RIGHT): And I’m Shine Louise Houston.
SHINE (LEFT): And I’m here to talk about making porno. And also specifically talking about the solo scene [Shine (Right) says “Alright”] that we just did with Legs. So uhh yeah lets, lets talk about it. So… uhm… why… let’s talk about the difference between doing uhm a solo scene or any other type of scene and how that like differs and stuff so…
SHINE (RIGHT): So Leg’s solo… uhmm… I think it was very successful. I think its uhm, there’s a difference between doing, uhm you know, a solo and doing a couples scene or a three way. I definitely think there’s more pressure not only on uhh, you know the model but also on us the crew to like really make a dynamic scene. Uhm and also like as an editor you know to put it together in a very beautiful way. I think I emphasize more the beauty of the scene uhm when I do a solo scene
SHINE (LEFT): I think I totally agree with that. It’s a very different… It’s a way different vibe… uhm… doing the solos as opposed to doing scenes with multiple partners. Uhm, mostly I also think it’s just well, in a weird sort of way it’s more relaxed because you know the performer gets to do whatever they want to do… I don’t know there’s less people on set so it’s way less crowded. You know, so I don’t know, it’s just a totally different vibe. I think definitely because there’s more people there’s more energy and it’s a little bit more intense, you know, working with multiple partners and stuff. So, I think that’s a little bit different. I mean but they’re both very interesting and they both have like different types of vibes.
SHINE (RIGHT): Yeah, I don’t know but I think, I don’t think a solo’s any less dynamic than a couple’s scene. I mean there’s still like the narrative of the sex and like basically like having like a dialogue with one’s sex about one’s sexuality. The exploration, the familiarity, all those sorts of things I think are really important when you’re doing, when you’re shooting a solo scene its really capturing those aspects of a person and their sexuality.

SHINE (LEFT): So… today what did you find… anything that was like challenging or unexpected? I know that there were some funny things that happened on the set today…
SHINE (RIGHT): Uh, I think some of the things that were uhm well, not necessarily challenging but certainly funny or maybe they are challenging and funny… uhm… was the suction cup on the dildo was.. it was having problems on the chair. [Shine (Right) says “I know totally] But there were funny moments when she slaps it down on the chair and then two seconds later just like right in a totally inconvenient moment it tips over.

SHINE (LEFT): So I mean, just because I mean I ask this of everybody so I guess I’m going to ask you too… So uhm why do we keep making porn? Why do you make porn?
SHINE (RIGHT): So why do I want to make porno, like what’s the reason why I make porno and I keep making porno…uhm… it’s a fascinating subject. Like sexuality is an endlessly fascinating subject. Uhm you know its also, I think what fascinates me the most are you know like, the small details. A lot of times it’s the outtakes that I think are like my most favorite part because just like little small intimate details of like the person which a lot of which like come through in the final edits but you know there’s other little bits and pieces that don’t quite make it into the piece but I think that’s also one of the things that intrigues me about sexuality is not just the acts but also the odd intimacies within and behind the acts you know..

SHINE (LEFT): Awesome, so, what’s… what’s in store for Pink and White? What’s in store for the Crash Pad Series?
SHINE (RIGHT): Well, what’s in store for the crash pad series… actually whats coming next is the long awaited three way. I mean I booked this scene at least three months in advance because I was like “We’re doing these scene. We’re finally doing this scene.” You know… it’s Princess Donna, Lorelai Lee, and Jake. And it’s an amazing scene. Its awesome and you know like talking about those funny, awkward, like intimate moments. They’re just they’re awesome personalities. So you know they have a wonderful scene coming up. And you know as far as Pink and White Productions we’re shooting our next feature in June which is called Champion. Talk about that a little bit… it’s an MMA Boxing porno and the lead you know is of course you know, Shawn, aka Syd Blakovich. So it’s gonna be really, it’s gonna be an awesome movie.
SHINE (LEFT): Exactly.
SHINE (RIGHT): Mmhm, exactly.
SHINE (LEFT): Okay… alrighty… so that’s a wrap and uhmm..
SHINE (RIGHT): Cool! Thank you!
SHINE (LEFT): ???
SHINE (RIGHT): Alright. Have a good one!
SHINE LEFT: And great…you know it’s always [Shine (Right) says “???”] a pleasure to talk to you and thank you guys for being a wonderful audience [Shine (Right) says “Most definitely.”] We’ve got an amazing scene coming up next. [Shine 3 comes says “Hey guys…”] So please stay tuned and [Shine 3 says “Whats up? Are you guys doing an interview?] Cut.. [Shine 3 says “Ah sweet man”] Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut.
