Cinnamon: How did you enjoy the shoot today?
Cicatriz: I enjoyed it… immensely.
Cinnamon: (grins and laughs)
Cicatriz: (smiles) I enjoyed it a lot. I… you know, I was, like… a little nervous at first. Um, I felt like once we got into it, I was really into it… yeah. I enjoyed it. I think you’re incredibly hot.
Cinnamon: (laughs) That was the hottest fucking… sex I’ve ever had, in all honesty.
Cicatriz: Yes… yeah, I loved that. How did you enjoy the shoot today?
Cinnamon: It was awesome.
Cicatriz: Yeah!
Cinnamon: Awesome. (nods) I had a good time. I also agree about being hella nervous at first. I think I’m always really nervous at first, you know? But then, like, it was really good flow.
Cicatriz: Mm-hm. Yeah, I felt it was a good flow too.
[cut]
Cinnamon: What did you feel was challenging about the shoot?
Cicatriz: Hmm… I didn’t really feel too challenged. I felt nervous, for sure, um… yeah. Just, like, kind of feeling, um… boundaries or whatever. I tend to err on the side of caution, generally, so I don’t want to, like, push people’s boundaries or whatever, so… that was my only challenge, which wasn’t much of a challenge at all.
Cinnamon: Mine was my nerves, that was pretty much the only thing. Just waiting for my brain to relax, and—
Cicatriz: Breathe! (laughs)
Cinnamon: —breathe! (grins) Yeah! Definitely. Breathe.
Cicatriz: Totally. Yeah, I had that a few times too, I’m like, “Okay, breathe! It’s okay, it’s okay…”
(both laugh)
Cicatriz: Yeah, totally.
[cut]
Cicatriz: Um… my safe sex practice is consent, consent, consent, um, first and foremost, and beyond that, communication, um… about boundaries, limitations, preferred toys, positions, everything… I think that that is, like, kind of what sets the ground for safety, and anything beyond that, like, use of barriers and stuff… it’s really important to just respect people’s, like, boundaries and—
Cinnamon: Sure. (nods)
Cicatriz: And people are in, like, relationships and shit too, and, like, use boundaries outside of that—use barriers, rather—and I really respect that.
Cinnamon: Yeah. I think that, like, we had a good conversation, and we talked a couple times… again, consent, checking in, that sort of thing. If you think that you fucked up, like, it’s never too late to ask questions.
Cicatriz: Yeah. Sure.
[cut]
Cicatriz: Uh, if you have done porn before, what expectations do you have, and why do you continue doing it?
Cinnamon: I think it’s important to me to see more brown people in porn, more fat people in porn, and more fat, brown people in porn.
Cicatriz: Yeah.
Cinnamon: It’s really important to me, to like… be that, if I can, so… yeah.
Cicatriz: (nods) Yeah. Likewise. I feel very strongly about, like, representation of, like, what I consider, like, “normal” bodies—
Cinnamon: Yeah!
Cicatriz: —in porn, and “normal”, like, expressions… the word “normal” is not quite it, but… just, like, more representation of non-straight-white-cis… that whole thing. Uh… and I… it’s very empowering to me to… to be able to, like, show up, to be seen this way, and to get compensated for it… I think it’s pretty revolutionary.
Cinnamon: Yeah. (nods)
Cicatriz: I will… do it till I can’t do it anymore.
Cinnamon: Yes! (grins) I want to be old and—
Cicatriz: I know! I do. Any time.
Cinnamon: I cannot wait to do cougar porn.
Cicatriz: (laughs)
Cinnamon: I cannot wait.
Cicatriz: That would be awesome.
[cut]
Cicatriz: Um, I don’t really have anything else… I really enjoyed it, I really appreciate this space that Crash Pad offers, to give visibility to queers and people of color, and queer people of color—
Cinnamon: (nods)
Cicatriz: —and fat queer people of color—
Cinnamon: (laughs)
Cicatriz: —all of the things! (smiles) Um, yeah… I’m pretty into it, I’m really grateful for the space and the opportunity.
Cinnamon: Ditto, pretty much exactly.
