JAMES: So Jade, how did you enjoy the shoot today?

JADE: I enjoyed it a lot, um.. yeah it was fun doing the little vintage, like scene..

JAMES: ..the porn classic?

JADE: yeah the porn classic, yes yes, the (inaudible) in a box, it’s great and fun. How about you?

JAMES: Yeah, I thought that was really cute, um yeah I had a lot of fun with that today.. for sure.

JADE: Yeah.

JAMES: Oh good, they’re wonderful.. they’re just really smooth..

VOC: uh-huh..

JADE: Did you find anything challenging today?

JAMES: um I think, what I had some challenges was doing some of the positions without like having leverage for my hands, so I was slipping around a little bit, um so that was a little challenging for me today.

JADE: Yeah.

JAMES: What about you?

JADE: um.. hot room, it’s very sweaty.

JAMES: Yeah, there’s a lot of sweat, I felt like I was in birkam yoga for a minute.

JADE: Right? Yeah but, I mean, I had fun.. it was good.

JAMES: I love some sweat, I thought it was really hot. I don’t know if you noticed me being like, aahhh yes..

JADE: ..yeah you were like.. it’s like a slip ‘n slide on my body.. it’s like you’re not going to be able to find any leverage.

JAMES: yeah no.. that was really hot.

JAMES: So Jade, this is what, like your fourth, third, fourth shoot?

JADE: Third.

JAMES: So why do you like to do porn, why do you continue to do porn?

JADE: Why do I continue to do porn? Um, it’s actually the way I like to protest because I find when I get really involved in a lot of things that are happening, I get very angry, and it’s just.. and I end up not serving myself well, but I feel like this is a great way to do it.. kind of put myself out there and just make trans bodies more noticeable.

JAMES: Yeah?

JADE: Yeah, how about yourself, why do you continue?

JAMES: I.. yeah I’m kind of obsessed with porn.. yeah, I love porn. I’ve never found something I’ve been so just completely enamored with, and like I love being an exhibitionist, I love the visibility that it gives.. um for myself and other people, um you know, I received feedback all the time from people about how much they love the scenes that I do and the work that I do and like it’s such an amazing feeling to be a part of this like huge blossoming like community of like queer and indie and feminist porn that just is exploding right now, especially with images of trans men, um I think that’s just really really exciting, so I’m definitely really excited to be a part of it and really excited to see where it goes from here. Crash Pad is fuckin awesome, I love this space, this has been really fun. Yeah I can’t really think of anything, I don’t think I have any additional thoughts about today.

JADE: Same thing, I love Crash Pad. I remember watching it and I remember my friend years ago telling me like, oh you should really watch this type of porn. Who would’ve known like a few years later I’d be shooting for them.. it’s been great.

JAMES: It’s.. yeah it’s insane to like be in this community.. I remember when like, I don’t know, like the day before I left to get on the greyhound bus that I took to get from Atlanta to San Francisco, one of my best friends was like, you have to see this movie before you go, and it was the original Crash Pad, and yeah now I get to be on site and I get to make queer porn and like it’s ..
