Um, so… How did you enjoy the shoot today?
Ruckus: Um, it was fun. I… I like a solo where I don’t have to, like…be… talking to the camera. Or doing some kind of role-play thing. So it was nice to actually, like, “Oh this can just be like a really minimal, go in there and like not worry about anything.” It was, it was nice.

Were there any challenges?
Ruckus: Um… Getting back into the studio and set stuff. Is a small challenge, mentally, on its own. But it’s a very comfortable environment here so it was not… not dramatic with that. Slightly in my head.

What are your safer sex practices?
Well, with myself, I know that I’m tested so… No, haha. Um. Safer sex generally with other people that are sex workers or performers, we have some nuanced versions of the conversations because a lot of our work involves no barriers, and things like that. So I… I tend to try and read the situation with those things. I do love condoms. I do love gloves. Love saran wrap when you need it. You know, it’s… it’s great, you gotta see where you’re at and not put too much stock in one part of your body or another influencing that, you know.

Why do you continue to do porn?
Ruckus: Um… I continue to do porn because porn continues to make me a little bit of money. And on these occasions, where I get to meet people that are creatively inclined and like to let you freestyle it’s like a nice treat. Yeah.

What’s been the ‘best thing’ about quarantine?
Ruckus: The best thing about quarantine. Um….. It’s a lot easier to time my grocery runs to where I don’t have to deal with people. That’s my little silver-lining for, uh, this crazy shake-up. Cause I already lived at a distance and I kind of like it like that.

What are you looking forward to as things open up again?
Ruckus: Yeah, um. Like a small… small road trip. With some family. Cart some elders across two or three states and just take our sweet ass time. And let it be exactly what it needs to be. And… Also, just being able to sit in a living room without being masked up around friends that you are intimately acquainted with their patterns and exposure and stuff just to let that that pressure lift a little bit. In our like social engagements, you know? Hugging our friends. I’m definitely planning a lot of that.

Any thing else you’d like to add?…
Ruckus: No. Get your vaccines if you can! Stay safe in public. It’s not over yet. You know?
(Shine, off camera)
Awesome.
