Shine Dressed: Uh, So, how’d you feel about the shoot today?
Shine Jammies: How’d I feel about the shoot? I felt good about the shoot. It’s good. Umm… I’m always thoroughly impressed by people who can pull off a solo, just cause, you know, it’s just you and the cameras, so, a lot respect for that, a lot of respect for Juliet. Yeah, and we have a new space. You know, I think part of why the shoots continue to go so well, is cause, I think we’re able to give, to create, I think, a really nice, safe and relaxed space, and now we have more space to create… uh, space.
Shine Dressed: Yeah, well, you know, let’s uh, why don’t we turn it over the Juliet to see what she had to say about the shoot today. Alright, here we go.

Juliet: I really liked the shoot. It was really fun, and I got off a couple times, which is always nice to do in the morning (laughing) it’s like ten o’clock in the morning. And, yeah, it was really cool, it was great. You know, I was a little nervous coming in because, well, you know, I jerk off all the time, but, not for the camera and not undirected, you know. When it’s for a video, um, I’m usually pretty well directed, which is something that I hate, and also something that, now that I don’t have it, I was a little bit nervous, but it went fine and time went by quickly, and I wasn’t stuck with my thumb up my ass or anything.

J: I’ve been doing porn for just about only this year, for, since, I believe March was my first one shoot. But, I’ve been a sex-worker for two years and I was dancing and I was doing shows, and I was always really skeptical about doing porn and I’m still really particular about who I do porn for because there’s a lot of really shitty, not hot videos floating around the internet and there doesn’t need to more of those. So, for the last year I’ve been shooting for kink.com and I’ve worked my way around most of their sites in the past few months, and I love them because they do a lot of really cool stuff with BDSM that I don’t necessarily get to do in my personal life, I mean there’s stages, and there are Doms and their equipment is just so extravagant, and it’s so well-maintained that I’m able to do all this really exciting stuff. And it also doesn’t incorporate a large majority of my sex life outside of that really really strict sub role that I play in those videos, which is really fun, but, doing queer porn and doing a shoot for crash pad is really exciting because I get to explore things outside of that. And I get to show you guys how I would jerk off, or how I would, you know, fuck my friend, you know, or a partner, if there wasn’t someone there directing me all the time and putting lipstick on my face, or whatever, or sticking stupid bows on my head… with leather (whispering)! I think queer porn is really important and I hope there’s more and more videos online that are able to represent people outside of the heterosexual *economy, and outside of this like really heteronormative sex that I usually see online that I think is really boring, and doesn’t look like me, and doesn’t look like my friends, and doesn’t look like my partner, and, you know, doesn’t even look like me and my boyfriend, my male bodied, male boyfriend. It’s like, what are we supposed to relate to? And, so, this is really an exciting thing to be a part of, and I hope people watch it and I hope people make it, and, yeah…

Shine Dressed: Alright, buddy. What was challenging today?
Shine Jammies: Well, I was worried that, you know, for me, I worry that the edit’s going to be boring, but I think that’s just my own insecurity, cause I think it was a really cute and very genuine scene. It’s also a little difficult to shoot because I think it’s really easier to follow the energy of a couple than to follow the energy of just one person. Um, so, that’s a little bit of a challenge, too, so…
Shine Dressed: I think, with the scene, yeah, it was pretty cool, but I understand, it’s not the same oomph. So, the big question, why do you keep doing porn, you know?
Shine Jammies: Cause, it’s what I do now, it’s the only thing that really gets me amped and excited. The projects that I think up for Pink & White are the ones that are just like, “gah!” They make me really excited, like, I wanna do it,and I wanna do it now! I still have to check in with myself a lot, about like, you know, is this it? Am I doing the right thing? Blah blah blah blah blah. But today, you know, you ask me today, why do I do it? And I do it cause I love it.
Shine Dressed: If, I think if we had all the money in the world and we didn’t have to work and we didn’t have to do anything else, we’d probably wind up doing the exact same thing all over again.
Shine Jammies: *Yawning* Yeah, um, so, I think I should get back to work.
