Electra: What did you enjoy about the shoot today?

Sonny: Oh, man. I don’t even know if I’m allowed to answer this question like this. The taste of your pussy is immaculate.

Sonny: And that’s my favorite thing about the shoot today. I don’t know if you’re looking for, um, “safe for work” answers? That was really nice.

Electra: Yay.

Sonny: What was your favorite part of the shoot today?

Electra: Wow, great question. Um…I think my favorite part was just how much you loved feral cowgirl! That was so impressive. Like I said, like, I could probably have only kept that up for half the time, and it wouldn’t have even been that fun for me, because I would have been like, okay, like, don’t fall down. Like, don’t get tired, Just whatever. But seeing you, like, genuinely, clearly, so passionately enjoy it was very cool and very hot.

Sonny: Oh, thank you!

Electra: Thank you!

Sonny: What was most challenging about the shoot for you?

Electra: Oh, I think the most challenging for me was just like trying to stay in the moment, you know, and being like. Like it’s cool. Just do what you always do. Like, just do what you do at home. Like, it’s fine, but you have the pressure of, like, number one, we’ve never fucked before. And I do, like, actually, sincerely like you. So it’s, you know, like, I could fuck someone who, like, she doesn’t really care about me. I don’t really care about her. Maybe she’s not even really gay. Like, let’s just do it for the camera. And it’s like, no pressure. Not a big deal. But you are really gay, and I do really like you. So, like, I actually care to like. Ah, don’t be bad at sex! And also there’s cameras around. Don’t be bad at sex right now So just trying to remind myself like, no, actually, just have fun. It’s fine. Don’t stress about it and it will be fine. But I did it! Like I feel like I was able to stay in the moment and get over my challenge, I think.

Sonny: Yeah.

Electra: What was most challenging for you?

Sonny: Oh, I can absolutely relate to what you were saying. I think the most difficult part for me was trying to get to your clit under your strap-on.

Electra: That’s valid!

Sonny: That was really hard because the whole time I was like, am I really like at the clit, or am I like just underneath it? There’s a strap on right there.

Electra: Yeah. Valid. I didn’t super plan for you to be going that route. Like, it’s fine. I’m happy that you did, but that particular rig is pretty complicated for it. And it’s like, it’s a tradeoff, right? Because that rig makes it so that you don’t need to get right to the clit because it’ll do it for you. But then like, yes, if you are, that is challenges. I’m sorry for making that difficult for you, but you did a great job.

Sonny: Oh, my God. It was wonderful.

Electra: So what are your safer sex practices and why?

Sonny: I think testing for mycoplasma is really important. I know that we had this conversation off-camera. I think Mycoplasma genitalium is kind of like a new and invasive thing. I think that anybody who’s having sex unprotected on a regular basis should be testing for it. So that is something that I hold kind of near and dear to my heart and that’s an awesome practice. I also usually use condoms on toys, especially that are like plastic and stuff like that that are porous and things. Lube. A lot of lubricant.

Electra: Yeah. Hands down agree with everything that you just said. Also, like you know this but the audience may not; testing including like multi-site swabbing like so like blood urine, oral and rectal swabs. I was so happy when the industry finally added those. I have been screaming about it for years. So really exciting that everybody is doing that now. And then also specifically for toys and things like I have UV sterilizers so I have two at home and usually I travel with one. But actually I didn’t bring it this time because I was like, Well, you are only using toys with one partner on these couple of days that you’re gone. And I still have like a high quality Sliquid toy cleaner that I brought with me. But typically before and after every use, I have a UV sterilizer that I put my stuff through too as well.

Sonny: That’s brilliant.

Electra: Yeah, it’s really nice, too, because it also means that like on set, you know, even like sometimes I’ll direct scenes that are non fluid exchange scenes, but they like, oh, both want to try the suction toy or whatever, and so they can just set it off to the side off camera and I give it like a real quick soap wash and then put it through the UV sterilizer and then put it back on the side and they can bring it back in and the audience never knows that like, that toy left for a few minutes to get sterilized. It’s back in like 5 minutes time or less. But it was actually like completely sterilized, which is pretty cool.

Electra: So why do you continue to do porn?

Sonny: Yeah, I’ve been in mainstream porn for a little bit less than a year now.

Electra: Happy almost anniversary

Sonny: Thank you. Which we already know because that’s how we know each other. Um… I love porn. I continue to do it for a variety of reasons. I think that there’s so much, and like I know some people might not believe this, but there’s so much creative integrity to it, you know, like there is so much like fulfillment and like getting to shoot dialog and like, make a story happen, but like, the environment is so much more open than if you were to do the exact same scene about the exact same sex. But for something that is not pornographic.

Electra: 100%.

Sonny: You know what I mean, it feels so much more real. It feels so much more open. The people involved in the industry, I think, are the kind of people that I want to be around all the time.

Electra: Yeah.

Sonny: So that’s why I do it.

Electra: Yeah, yeah. I can totally relate to that. A big part of why I do part is because I love acting and I love theater, but I don’t like care enough to go try to, like, be a starving actor in L.A. and, like, hope I get a chance and whatever and, like, believe it or not, I can do subtle. I really can. But it is so much more fun to be 20% extra ridiculous on top of things. And I think that’s really fun. And so having access to like truly performing regularly is a big part of it for me. Also, I’m an exhibitionist, so getting to do like, like I think of porn is like stunts for sex, right? Getting to do like sex stunts and then people watch them is super, super, super cool. And I really value those experiences. And then also, just like I don’t do well with like a regular normal people like job and schedule and things like that. I have a lot of I end up even though like I am very like smart and motivated and whatever, but I end up pushing back a lot that like someone else is trying to control my time thing. So that element too of like I’m in control of my own schedule. Like, yeah, I may have a scene at 2 p.m. on X date because I agreed to take that scene at 2 p.m. on X date. But you can’t tell me like every single day you need to get up and be here by 8 a.m. and etc. So getting to like have that level of control over my life and then also getting to be a performer like participate in sex based art is really, really, really fulfilling and exciting.

Sonny: Absolutely. There’s a lot of freedom.

Electra: 100%. I’m really excited to to get to have you come out to Vegas and shoot for my site since I am the creator and the director for QueerCrush.com, which is an all lesbian site, but it’s produced entirely by queer women and sapphic non-binary people. We only shoot legitimately queer women and sapphic non-binary people. There’s no like “gay for pay” stuff or any of that. And you get to pick your own partner and do absolutely whatever you want. And so I’m really excited to have you on my set sometime soon as well.
