Mistress Icona: What did you like about the shoot today, my love?

I really liked being able to come in and kind of have a loose idea of what we’re going to do but mostly just kind of come in and have a scene and we just sort of go where, you know, where fancy takes us.

Mistress Icona: That was really great.

What about you? What was your favorite part of today?

Mistress Icona: I think it would be about the same. I like that we just kind of came in. We knew our order of operations, and then everything just naturally fell in after that. It’s easy to do a scene with you.

So what you’re saying is, is that we came in like a wrecking ball (laughs)

What was challenging today about the shoot? If anything.

Uh… I don’t know if it was very challenging for me, but, you know, coming back here just after the year that we’ve had, externally and internally happening things in our lives.

It’s a nice break, it’s a nice change of pace.

What was difficult for you?

Kind of just, as you were saying, getting back into the groove of coming in and being on camera.

As you said, we haven’t done this in a while and we were, and, and being here and doing a scene is always great. Always wonderful. I can’t help but notice when there are people around

What are your and our safer sex practices?

Obviously the given: Having two safewords.

One light, one heavy

Yes.

Much like punches in a fighting game but always no matter how deep into the scene we get always keeping an ear out for that and knowing that you need to be ready to stop on a moment’s notice cuz it is as good as anything may feel the second it stops feeling good, it really stops feeling good.

I would add that you and I are fluid-bonded because we are married. And so our … barrier practices aren’t really as extensive as other people, but if we’re seeing other people or if we’re doing anything else then obviously condoms, dental dams, etc

Blair: Have you ever used a dental dam?

Mistress Icona: I have not.

Why do you keep doing porn?

Blair: Part of me has an artsy feminist answer and you know, I like exploring my sexuality with you. And I like being, you know, trans and queer and Asian and being in front of the camera, whatever camera that may be. But also, I like fucking. (Laughs) I love it when I get to do any and all of those things with you. So that’s… That’s why I come back because, I come back because you come back with me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Why do you keep doing this?

Mistress Icona: I just left shooting porn, honestly. I’ve always wanted to and I figure if I can, I will.

Blair: Yeah.

Mistress Icona: And also being two trans women it’s sort of when your existence in society is subversive, everything that you do then is also a subversive act, and I feel like incorporating sex work, something that is very much a part of our experience is sort of two subversive acts all wrapped into one enjoyable sex session with my wife.
What was your favorite thing about quarantine? Do you have a favorite things are quarantine?

Blair: Uhhuh (laughs)

Mistress Icona: That’s fair. Bottom surgery is obviously a plus. Getting married to you obviously a plus. Honestly, you. You’ve been the best thing about quarantine. (Sighs)
What about you?

Blair: Well now I feel like I have to say you! (Laughs)

Mistress Icona: Of course.

Blair: I mean, I spent, I spent most of quarantine with my favorite person in the world and I. Not… as shitty as things are… There aren’t… save for a global pandemic… you know, would I ever be able to feasibly. Yeah, you got to stay inside. You got to not do anything. Okay, well who am I hunkering down for the long haul with? And it happens to be my favorite person in the world.

I would say that it’s. It is hard to be optimistic these days. It is hard to be optimistic and I…don’t blame anyone for being the most doom and gloom. But I kind of have to have hope. I can’t – I can’t not for my own sanity. And for, as long as I’m here, there will always be at least one person. That wont give up. I urge everyone to consider that as well. Can’t say “death to America” can I? (laughs)
