[open on Key Master watching Mickey waiting in Crash Pad]
(out of frame/Shine): Is Shawn entering? Shawn? Action? How about I give you a
little knock, okay? Okay. Ready. And action… I’m knocking for you. I’m knocking, I’m knocking.
Okay. One more time.
Shawn (entering): Sorry, I’m supposed to meet someone here.
Mickey: You Shawn?
Shawn: Yeah.
Mickey: You’re the bulldyke?
Shawn: Yeah.
Mickey: Hey.

[cut to interview]
Shawn: Are we starting off with…
Shine (out of frame): How did you like the shoot?
Shawn: What was your favorite… okay. [cross-fade] So how did you feel about the shoot today?
Mickey: I enjoyed it. I had a good time. It was fun. We got really sweaty.
Shawn: It’s one of the best parts, I think.
Mickey: Yeah.
Shawn: Some people don’t like the heat. I love it. I love sweaty sex.
Mickey: I’m a big fan of sweaty sex. And I thought it was a good time. Did you have fun?
Shawn: I had a great time. Actually, it’s funny shooting—especially for Pink and White, because I am
so involved behind the scenes and stuff—it’s hard, I don’t… it turns into work for me. And, it’s like,
oh, it’s fun porn, but it’s still work. But today was a lot of fun. Like, I was surprised, I kind of was
able to click out of work mode, and be, like, I’m enjoying this, this is fun, this is great.
[cut to shooting scene]
Shawn: Do you want us to move at all?
Shine (out of frame): Just fake the motion a little bit, just a little bit of coming back down, and then
we’ll keep going. And action.
Shawn: What was challenging today?
Mickey: I think challenging is keeping an idea of where the cameras were. Trying to, kind of, like, be
aware of them, just with body movements.
Shawn: Yeah.
Mickey: Like, other stuff before, it’s been pretty direct, like, turn to your left, move your hand, arm
down, lay back. This was a bit more casual style, so it was cool.
Shawn: Yeah, I think I still try to get used to the cameras, but I think we got the new camera with the
enormous lens, so I’m already afraid it’s just going to come up way too close.
Mickey: Yeah, poke you in the eye.
Shawn: Like, oh, it’s a three way! I forgot. But yeah, I think I’m actually just really
happy. This was a great shoot. I feel like a lot of times I’ll come off of a shoot like, oh, it was kind of
awkward, but it just flowed really well. But we did do a lot more cutting because of the new camera,
but I think that it actually worked well, despite that or because of that.
Mickey: Mm-hmm.
Shawn: Yeah.
[cut to shooting scene]
(out of frame): I just feel too far away.
Shawn: You want to be part of the action. You need a long lens like Shine’s.
[cut back to interview on bed]
Mickey: So, how did you get into porn?
Shawn: I’ve always had an academic interest in porn, since college. And as soon as I came out here
I started working for adult magazines. So I was behind, doing more production work. And then
I met Shine through working with Good Vibrations, and that’s when she started Pink and White
Productions, and I kind of came on board doing more marketing, and like, but I’ll do whatever,
I’ll be in front of the camera, like, you know, I love that. And at the same time I started working
for Kink.com, for their wrestling site, so I, 2005 was a year of porn for me, and it kind of has been
picking up ever since. Working for Kink, working for Pink and White, working for Madison Bound,
it’s been great. How did you get involved with porn, and how did you get here today?
Mickey: How did I get here today. Let’s see, how I get here today was in Sacramento, at a bar, and
you approached me to do a scene with you.
Shawn: Yes. I love my job.
Mickey: Yeah, yeah, I got recruited. You were like, “You. Scene. San Francisco. Next month.” And I
was like, “Okay.”
Shawn: But you’ve done work before, right?
Mickey: Yeah, yeah. I’ve done a couple of scenes for other companies before. This is actually my first
one-on-one scene, everything’s been kind of group before, so…
Shawn: Well, does that—for you—how is one-on-one versus a group?
Mickey: A lot better, a lot more comfortable, I think. When there’s a bunch of other people around,
you’re more… it’s a different sort of, like… with one-on-one, you’re not so much worries about
other people’s personal space, just, and kind of being in the background. This was, yeah, I think I
would do more one-on-one stuff rather than group stuff.
Shawn: Yeah. Group’s kind of hard to balance. I think everyone has different needs and you’re
like, “Okay, I’ve got like five people, what do I…” I have ADD, so maybe it’s good for me, but
usually it’s really complicated. Like, you like to be hit hard, you like to be hit soft, you have back
problems, you have asthma. Okay, remember these things.
Mickey: So, it’s a lot of things to keep track of and, yeah, it’s a weird sort of etiquette, like, “Should I
go in now? No? Yeah?”
[cut back to scene]
[cut back to interview on bed]
Shawn: So, why did you want to do porn?
Mickey: I think I’ve always had a strong passion to kind of push my boundaries. Just like in every sort
of thing that I do, and I felt porn definitely was a safe place to be around other open-minded people,
and to be able to push my boundaries safely. You know? And it just looked like a lot of fun, too,
so…

[cut back to interview on bed]
Shawn: One reason why I was excited about today is that today is my first born-male, identified-male
scene. So I’ve never worked with a bio-male on camera before. I’ve worked with trans people and
other female-bodied people, but not biological male. Super excited! Yes!
Mickey: Awesome.
Shawn: Yes. And I’m like, I—for as far as identity politics go—I identify as queer, I find people
attractive, and their gender is usually secondary in that. So, if someone’s attractive they’re attractive,
and their gender isn’t necessarily what you see with your eyes anyway, so.
Mickey: Awesome.
[cut to shooting scene, Mickey and Shawn kissing]
Shawn: Facial hair is so interesting.
Mickey: It’s all scruffy?
Shawn: I’m not used to that. It’s not bad.
