Ava D’Amore: So, uhh, can we talk about our safer sex practices? And why we use them?
Alice the Wolfe: Totally! Yeah, um, my safe sex practices are, um, I don’t fluid bond with anybody. Um, it’s a really long conversation and a very long and established partnership before I do. And that is because I just have multiple partners, um, and it’s even to, some of my partners and I, we don’t have genital on genital contact even if it’s, uh, non-penetrative. Um, I, I like doing that also in shoots because I think that a lot of people don’t see that and so people who maybe grew up on porn or watched a lot of porn, um they don’t see a lot of condoms
Margot Rose: Mhmm.
Alice the Wolfe: and other barriers being used, and so I think it’s important to, you know, sort of like, perpetuate that being seen and that visibility.
Margot Rose: That’s true. Like, I thought it was very cool that we used the, the female condoms, which sort of, you know it’s something that I’ve, well, I finally got to implement when we sort of like played around with it the night before,

Margot Rose: and you sort of allows you to, you know, continue the barrier while switching between partners. Um, I also, you know, use pretty much barrier protection for everything but oral. I like gloves to be used, you know, if there is, you know, multiple people that hands are going in. Um, I have done, like a little bit of, like, I did, um, one other, like, real porn shoot. Like I did webcam-ing but that’s pretty much just you. But I did one other and we got fully tested and didn’t use barrier protection. And if we had had time and discussed it and everyone had gotten tested, I would have been comfortable with that, too. Um, I, but for me the important thing is when I’ve done porn to, you know, know that everyone’s been tested beforehand, and also understand that when we’re not using barriers, that’s for the professional shoot, and not for playing around, not for before or after. Margot Rose: Um, so for me this is my like second real porn shoot. It’s been like a few years, and I used to do webcamming. And then, um, I shot for a friend’s, um, production company, and I decided to come back and do this I think because, um, like I’ve been involved in, like, you know, sex work and different forms of sex work for many years and it’s always taken me on, you know, different adventures, and those adventures have also not just been, like, fulfilling creatively and fulfilling my exhibitionist side, but also like ways to learn, you know, new skills and how I can build my brand, and it’s kindof fun to think of it as like sortof building your business and learning different parts of the business and the different rituals that come with, you know, shooting more mainstream porn, shooting more queer porn, you know, doing in person, like they all have, um, you know, different rituals, different like, you know, ways of interacting with, you know, who you’re playing with, and, um, you know, having all those different experiences has been really, really fun for me. Alice the Wolfe: Uh, I’ve been doing DIY porn for a little bit, but I’m relatively new as far as like bigger shoots like this. Um, and I think, I do porn because there aren’t a lot of people like me. I think that a lot of trans people in porn get cast into this sort of like very misogynist role, and that’s just like kindof exacerbated the like transphobia around the world.

Alice the Wolfe: Um, that mixed with, like, really queering up porn communities, and kinking it up
