VOICES OFFSCREEN: (in conversation) Oh no!…I had one job on…(unclear) (extended laughter)…That’s the last time I work in this town…Just get me a date with your cute friend and we’ll call it even…We’re going clubbing on Monday.

DIRECTOR: Alright? So, ready when you guys are, you can come from anywhere.

CHOCOLATE CHIP: How did you enjoy the shoot today?

EROS: It was fun! (smiling) I had fun! How was it for you?

CHOCOLATE: It was really fun. It was fun. I also felt like because I was in a facilitator role (smiling)…nervous about that, um…

EROS: I didn’t know what you were going to do, so…I was just like, what? What? What will it be? (laughter)

CHOCOLATE: Yeah, I felt, um, a little bit clumsy? I felt like I would kind of come in and out of feeling really confident and clear and deliberate, and then like clumsy…and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next? Which is good because I’ve been really into practicing more improvisation lately, so I think that’s just the nature of improv. It’s just not…you don’t know what’s going to happen and you’re a little bit clumsy and you have to go with that—yeah.

EROS: Well, the great thing about this was that I was blindfolded the whole time. So, it felt good to me, you didn’t feel clumsy. It felt like, like a…a fun exchange.

CHOCOLATE: Great. That’s cool feedback. Yeah, hopefully the editors…(both laughing)

EROS: The magic we’ve done…

CHOCOLATE: (laughing) …went a little smoother (both laughing). For those who are not blindfolded.”

EROS: Yes.

EROS: What was challenging about this shoot?

CHOCOLATE: Um…yeah I feel like I kind of talked about that a little bit, but just the clumsiness and just letting that—letting myself be clumsy, um—‘cause when I would just let it happen, then it would be fun. That was probably the most challenging thing. It was really…yeah, it was a really fun time.

EROS: Yeah, it was fun. I was super…not nerv-…I guess nervous is the only word I can kind of think to put in that slot, ‘cause well… it’s the first time that I’ve done a scene with anybody else. It’s the first time I’ve been blindfolded during a scene. It was, well, the tickle thing was…yeah (both laughing) Ohh…that was fun. Ann drove me crazy (laughter). I don’t know, but, yeah…I guess my challenge was getting out of my space, to you know, surrender to the happenings.

CHOCOLATE: Totally. Thanks for trusting me to blindfold you, and thanks for enduring all that tickling (smiling) because it was really fun.

EROS: Yeah, it was really fun (both laughing).

(CHOCOLATE CHIP carries EROS to a black-framed bed. She smacks EROS’ ass as she holds her over her shoulder.)

CHOCOLATE: What are your safe sex practices and why?

EROS: Um, I feel like communication is the most important thing. Knowing where the other person is and knowing where you are, and what you’re each bringing to the situation. And…and I feel like aftercare is a really an important part of safe sex, too. Safer sex. As well as, you know, all the good latex and things like that.

CHOCOLATE: Totally. Yeah, I agree with the communication part—about kind of putting out there what the expectations are and…what things should be left out of the experience and what to do if you need to interrupt the experience to check in. Um, and also thank you for bringing up aftercare, ‘cause I definitely just like left you with some wet socks on and that is, I feel like (laughing) I’m pretty new to dominant roles and um yeah, trying to figure out how aftercare would fit into a scene, too. So that’s definitely something to problem-solve for the future.

EROS: I do feel like the—putting back together kind of thing—was a sort of aftercare.

CHOCOLATE: Cool.

EROS: It did feel like, I don’t know, like you know, you…(raises hand to her face) obviously the narrative was kind of like, a dull-ish sort of thing—and you put the socks back on you put the bow back on, and I was sittin’ pretty in the chair.

CHOCOLATE: Cool, so I got like a grounding out. Great, that’s helpful, I like it a lot. Great, thank you.

EROS: So, you’ve done porn before. What brings you back to it?

CHOCOLATE: Hmm. That’s a good question. Um…I feel like this answer comes up a lot, but I’m kind of, um…what is it, what’s the word…been resisting how much of a performer I am (laughing) and, porn in this setting, especially working with Crash Pad, is a really unique space because I feel like I’m…in other spaces it might be very clear to me that it’s just a performative space, so I can go into a particular kind of head state around it. But here it’s like I feel like I’m bringing certain parts of my actual self, but also trying to be performative, so…if that’s on a spectrum, it fluctuates. So, I don’t know about like, porn in general but porn specifically with Crash Pad, it’s been just a really fun place to explore performance and authenticity. Mostly just exploration has been a big part.

EROS: Yeah, I agree with a lot of that because I…I don’t like sex to be performative, but also there’s an appeal to being able to control…how you’re responding and things like that. But here, I feel like here’s this wonderful mix of both, where you’re both enjoying things that you like to do. And you know, putting some dazzle on it (both laughing).

CHOCOLATE: Totally.

EROS. Yeah, it’s like a fantasy…happy mixture.

CHOCOLATE: Agreed.

EROS: It would have been fun if there was candy in this scene.

CHOCOLATE: Ooooh. Yeah, that’s a great idea (both laughing).

EROS: Next time!

CHOCOLATE: Candy… (unclear)

EROS: …the sensation… (unclear)

CHOCOLATE: Yeah, definitely…thinking of other sensations to work with, and like, it being new for me to facilitate, it’s like…cool to try things out and see what kind of things could be added in the future. I really thank you also for letting me pour that water on you. So…I was really into doing that, and (laughing) yeah…again thanking you and the space for allowing me just to be silent through it, instead of feeling like I had to go into a particular type of dominant role. More like…a lot of the examples that I see are more like shit-talking. I don’t feel like that’s really my style, so yeah that was really fun to explore.

EROS: I really appreciated your presence, it was very grounding, and the fact that you weren’t speaking allowed my brain to play with things and…it was really cool that I was blindfolded, but I could feel you holding me and stuff like that…yeah, it was cool.

CHOCOLATE: Awesome. Yeah, that’s cool (both laughing).

EROS: Well did we mention… (unclear)
