Behind the Scenes 263: Lucy LaCroix’s Solo

Lucy #1: So, how did you enjoy the shoot today?
Lucy #2: It was incredible! [laughing] This was a joy and a delight, I think. Yeah, I’m
still a little blissed out.
[cut to scene :45]
(Lucy runs a blade over her chest without breaking skin)
Lucy: (moans)

Lucy #1: What, if anything, was challenging about this shoot?
Lucy #2: I think what was most challenging was just logistically getting here, and all
of the moving parts before we began. I’m from out of town, so…but, I really wanted
to prioritize making this happen, or taking this opportunity. So, coming into town
and traveling with all of my gear, and um, just managing nerves. I think, once I was
here, it didn’t take too long to get over being self-conscious. [laughing] But, yeah, all
of that time leading up to.

(Lucy pulls apart fresh black latex gloves and blows into one)

Lucy #1: What are your safer sex practices, and why?
Lucy #2: I have several partners. [laughing] So, and longevity with several people,
you know, and connections with people who I have various forms of sex with, with
varying levels of risk. So, it’s really kind of a case-by-case conversation. When I do
kind of casual pickup play, or play with folks I see a couple of times a year, there are
always gloves. Gloves, barriers, I don’t really do oral unless I have longevity, so
dental dams aren’t really necessary or a thing. Hand sex is my favorite, and I do
gloves with my established people, because it’s a thing [laughing] even there. Yeah, I

think I can’t, I can’t and refuse to police what my people do with their other people,
so, I make calls with what I’m comfortable with when interacting.

Lucy #1: Have you ever done porn before and, if no, why did you decide to today?
Lucy #2: This is my first time. I’ve daydreamed about it for a long time. I’ve certainly
had sex in front of people, um, but never with cameras. This, working with Crash
Pad specifically has been kind of a bucket-list item. I’ve heard nothing but good
things from friends who have shot. I enjoy how accessible it is. You know that “be
the change you wish to see in the world,” I want to contribute to the porn I wish to
see, whether that be just generally queer, or high-femme but cobbled-together-
resonating-with-me-femme. But I think particularly porn with bigger bodies, you
know, hairy, un-you know, bodies that aren’t pristine, so, it’s meaningful.

Lucy: Oh look, it’s intact! Holy…[laughing] I used so much setting spray. Yeah.
[laughter off-screen]
Offscreen: Those lashes.
Lucy: Thank you, they’re Halloween lashes. [laughing]
Offscreen: But you know what’s great is there’s so much contrast, like between your
skin and your eyes, they’re so big. Like if I need something to focus on, it’s really
easy to catch focus, because you have something with high contrast, so I was like
“yeah!”
Lucy: [laughing] Start laughing.

Lucy #1: So, is there anything else you’d like to say about today’s shoot?
Lucy #2: So, closing statements. Well, this was exciting! Oh geez, yeah…I’m hungry. I
try to stay hydrated. I can end up too dehydrated. Who knows whether I’ll be able to
watch this later. [laughing] Maybe once, and then I’ll just kinda think fondly of it

from my point of view here. I don’t know, I’m excited to bring back stories once the
times comes and probably sing Crash Pad’s praises. Maybe make porn whenever
possible…and that’s about it.
