Pink and White Production’s queer porn site CrashPadSeries.com has been featured on the popular follow up to HBO’s Real Sex series exploring sex, technology, and online sexual culture, Sex On//.
Sex On// is the NSFW follow-up to HBO’s popular Real Sex program, described in The Essential HBO Reader as “a peek into the diversity of sexual activities,” profiling sex and technology with segments on topics such as Tinder, Oculus Rift, and web camming.
In Episode 4, Pink and White producer and director Shine Louise Houston talks about creating “unconventional lesbian porn” in filming diverse bodies and sexual trends in the queer community.
“There’s mainstream porn and that works for some people but as far as queer folks go, it wasn’t working for me,” Shine said. “I didn’t see enough brown people, I didn’t see enough butches, I didn’t see enough larger sized people. And so the beauty standard wasn’t doing it for me.”
The segment features video interviews of performers speaking about their experiences filming porn, and highlights lesbian scenes that include trans women. Sex On// episodes are online available at HBOgo.com. CrashPad’s segment concludes with Houston at her computer, peering into the screen while polishing her 60mm camera lens.
