Behind the Scenes 158: Devon Wipp

In this Behind the Scenes, Shine Louise Houston and Shine Louise Houston show off the movie magic behind last week’s episode. That’s right, it was all an illusion; there weren’t really two Devon Wipps. It was just fancy post-editing tricks by either Shine, Shine, or Shine. Or possibly Shine.

PLAID SHINE: Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston
GREY SHINE: And I’m Shine Louise Houston.
PLAID SHINE: And we’re here today to talk about Devon’s solo, which I think went really well.
GREY SHINE: Yeah, I thought it was a little weird.
PLAID SHINE: Yeah, we were using a little something called split screen, and doing just a little bit of movie magic.
GREY SHINE: Well, what’s that? How does it work?
PLAID SHINE: Well, let’s watch the behind the scenes and see how it works.

[Cut to scene, Devon on bed]

SHINE [Narrating]: First we filmed half of it with Devon and a stand-in.
[VOC] Cut. (Clap) Awesome. (Laughter)
[VOC] All right. Next, the second Devon. Can I see you in the chair-
SHINE: Next we filmed Devon in the seat.
[VOC] So I’m gonna do one – aw, hell, would you turn the, the, back, back light lights.
DEVON: Do you know that these lights are still on?
[VOC] Oh, well, I guess, we’re keeping ‘em on.
[Cut to close up of Devon on bed]
SHINE: Then once we had established the two Devons, we did reaction shots close up.
[Cut to close up of Devon in chair]
SHINE: And the opposite reaction shots.
[VOC] All right, so from here, these are gonna basically be used the cutaway shots for right here.
DEVON: Okay.
[VOC] So basically like, continue like to give me some, or, Alexa, Tristan you, can give him something that can’t (unintelligible)-
[Laughter]
[VOC] Um, you know, and basically like, wow, yeah, – yourself out.
[VOC] What would you rather look at?
DEVON: (Laughing) The pillows, be, like, it’ll be, I’ll be like, it’ll be weird if I’m watching you guys. I can stare at the pillows.
[VOC] Okay. Are you sure?
DEVON: Yeah, th-, I mean, unless either of you are itching to do something on the pillows so I can watch, it’s like-
[VOC] You can have-… No, no – …(unintelligible)
SHINE: Then we put it all together.

[Cut to complete scene where Devon watches Devon come in and sit down]

[Cut back to BTS]

PLAID SHINE: Actually there are a lot more little film tricks that I learned [holds up magic Pathé WEBO 16 mm camera] using this thing, like disappearing. [Snaps fingers]

[JIZ LEE appears with GREY SHINE then snaps their fingers to restore PLAID SHINE]

PLAID SHINE: See? It’s pretty cool, huh? Now watch this.
GREY SHINE: (gasps in surprise)
[PLAID SHINE hops out then fades back in]
PLAID SHINE: Well, how about flying? [Flies away]
GREY SHINE: Flying!
PLAID SHINE: Well-
GREY SHINE: Yeah, it was real.
PLAID SHINE: Thanks for l-, watching.
GREY SHINE: Thanks!
PLAID SHINE: Ah, see you guys next time.
GREY SHINE: See you later.
PLAID SHINE: See you later.
GREY SHINE: Yeah.
PLAID SHINE: I thought that was cool.
GREY SHINE: Yeah. Wonder if I can make that work. (Snap, snap, snap happy)

Episode 121-and-a-half: Shine and Shine

Regular updates will resume next week (we’re still resting up from the big relaunch!). In the meantime, by popular demand, here’s an encore of our Very Special April Fools episode. We get frequent requests for Shine Louise Houston to get down in front of her own cameras, and finally she obliges! Sort of.

Behind the Scenes 17: Dylan’s Solo

There is a reason why Dylan Ryan is one of the favorites around here.
She’s gorgeous, talented and one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. Director Shine Louise Houston breaks down plot and talks about a little bit of what makes her tick. Enjoy this rare opportunity to get inside the mind of one of the world’s most talked about queer porn producers.

Behind the Scenes 17: Dylan’s Solo

Shine Louise Houston: Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston and I’m going to talk about…
Shine #2: Hey! Are we doing…we’re doing…the post interview about Dylan.
Shine Louise Houston: That’s right. We’re doing an interview about Dylan’s solo today.
Shine #2: Dude, she’s a total treat.
Shine Louise Houston: And we’re pretty happy to have Dylan at the Crash Pad again…
Shine #2: ???…getting off on the dirty sex sheets, like oh my god. Hiding in the closet, what a fuckin’ perv.
Shine Louise Houston: Yeah, it was kind of a funny little plot. We had her in the closet.
Shine #2: Yeah, it’s a fuckin’ blast to work with Dylan. She’s fuckin’ rad.
Shine Louise Houston: So we’re here to talk about the finer points…
Shine #2: We’ll chat about it…
Shine Louise Houston: …of film making and what goes on behind the camera here.
Shine #2: What’s behind the camera what’s in front of the camera…check it out!
Shine Louise Houston: Yeah, stick around.

-clip-

Shine Louise Houston: So the backstory that we have for Dylan’s scene is that she’s had a date at the Crash Pad and then she arrives, and her date’s not there. So she got flaked on and by circumstances another couple shows up and she has to hide in the closet. And it was really funny coming up with that idea just because Dylan kind of beat me to the punch when I was explaining it to her, and she was like “Oh yeah! Totally” about jumping in with the sex sheets, and we had a lot of fun with it.
Shine #2: Totally. She got flaked on, she got dissed. It’s kind of lame. You have a date at the Crash Pad and they didn’t show up and it’s like “What are they thinking?” That’s totally lame. You know you’re going to go there and have hot sex, and hot sex with Dylan, and I mean, come on, you’d be stupid not to actually do that. But we had somebody do that. Well, we didn’t have somebody do that, we just pretended like she had somebody to do that with, and then came there and didn’t have somebody to do that with, but eventually she wound up doing it with herself because she didn’t have anybody to do that with.

-clip-

Shine Louise Houston: I just want to say in closing, thanks to everybody for being a part of the Crash Pad series experience and watching all the episodes and thanks for being there.
Shine #2: Yeah, no definitely, thanks, thanks everybody.
Shine Louise Houston: You know I really like working with you, and I always have a really good time.
Shine #2: I like working with you, too. I like you.
Shine Louise Houston: I like you, too.
Shine #2: Aww…
Shine Louise Houston: I love you. I love you like the brother I never had or particularly wanted.
Shine #2: That’s kinda sweet.
Shine Louise Houston: I didn’t really want a brother.
Shine #2: Thanks, bro.
Shine Louise Houston: But you understand the sentiment.

Behind the Scenes 20: Sweet Treat’s Solo

Another Shine Louise Houston interview featuring Shine Louise Houston on how scenes are shot and the art of the solo. Waiting for wood may not be a usual problem, but when you are dealing with suction cups it’s a different story. Find out what drives Shine to create the world’s most talked about queer adult cinema and what Shine has next up her sleeve. We are sure you would agree that “talking about porn is like dancing about architecture.”

Crash Pad Series – Season 3, Episode 20 – Behind the Scenes Transcript
“Sweet Tea’s Solo”
Starring: Sweet Tea
Transcription: Carla Lopez

[clip opens with two Shines]

SHINE (RIGHT): Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston and I’m here today to talk about adult cinema and the first thing that you need to make adult cinema is of course a model, now sometimes you only need one model, sometimes you need two models. Now the next thing you need is a location, let’s say, a bed. So then you have your models, you have your bed. Next thing you need is cameras. Now generally, we use two. So you have Camera A, you have Camera B, they are lined up in a 130 degree angle apart from each other…uhm… that gives us the shot and reverse shot because basically what we’re looking for is to create this nice eye line match between both of the models so really what we’re capturing is the emotional dialogue that is happening between both of the models and… then also what we do or what is good to do is to actually be able to move these cameras around the models in a complete 180 degree angle so we can get full coverage of the action. Uhm now sometimes what people want to see is the insertion. So they want to see things going in the hole which is very very important in porn, you definitely want to see the action but the action is nothing without the reaction so that’s essentially why we use two cameras so not only do we see the action but you see the most important thing to the action which is the reaction to the action which really makes the whole thing very hot. Now, I’m direction so I’m always staying in between the 130 that happens here and here so essentially what you’ve got is a whole room of people watching live sex. So, I mean, it’s quite, it’s quite an amazing process.

SHINE (LEFT): So really, talking about porn is like ??? (I think Shine might be saying dancing about architecture).

SHINE (RIGHT): Exactly! Right.

[cut to bedroom scene]

SWEET TEA: That was weird (laughs).
VOICE OFF CAMERA: I laughed. (Sweet Tea laughs) Sorry. I laugh when you say that.

[cut to two Shines]

SHINE (LEFT): Hi, I’m Shine Louise Houston.
SHINE (RIGHT): And I’m Shine Louise Houston.

SHINE (LEFT): And I’m here to talk about making porno. And also specifically talking about the solo scene [Shine (Right) says “Alright”] that we just did with Legs. So uhh yeah lets, lets talk about it. So… uhm… why… let’s talk about the difference between doing uhm a solo scene or any other type of scene and how that like differs and stuff so…

SHINE (RIGHT): So Leg’s solo… uhmm… I think it was very successful. I think its uhm, there’s a difference between doing, uhm you know, a solo and doing a couples scene or a three way. I definitely think there’s more pressure not only on uhh, you know the model but also on us the crew to like really make a dynamic scene. Uhm and also like as an editor you know to put it together in a very beautiful way. I think I emphasize more the beauty of the scene uhm when I do a solo scene

SHINE (LEFT): I think I totally agree with that. It’s a very different… It’s a way different vibe… uhm… doing the solos as opposed to doing scenes with multiple partners. Uhm, mostly I also think it’s just well, in a weird sort of way it’s more relaxed because you know the performer gets to do whatever they want to do… I don’t know there’s less people on set so it’s way less crowded. You know, so I don’t know, it’s just a totally different vibe. I think definitely because there’s more people there’s more energy and it’s a little bit more intense, you know, working with multiple partners and stuff. So, I think that’s a little bit different. I mean but they’re both very interesting and they both have like different types of vibes.

SHINE (RIGHT): Yeah, I don’t know but I think, I don’t think a solo’s any less dynamic than a couple’s scene. I mean there’s still like the narrative of the sex and like basically like having like a dialogue with one’s sex about one’s sexuality. The exploration, the familiarity, all those sorts of things I think are really important when you’re doing, when you’re shooting a solo scene its really capturing those aspects of a person and their sexuality.

[cut to bedroom scene with Sweet Tea]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (laughing)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

[cut]

SHINE (LEFT): So… today what did you find… anything that was like challenging or unexpected? I know that there were some funny things that happened on the set today…

SHINE (RIGHT): Uh, I think some of the things that were uhm well, not necessarily challenging but certainly funny or maybe they are challenging and funny… uhm… was the suction cup on the dildo was.. it was having problems on the chair. [Shine (Right) says “I know totally] But there were funny moments when she slaps it down on the chair and then two seconds later just like right in a totally inconvenient moment it tips over.

[cut to bedroom scene with Sweet Tea]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

[cut to various scenes of the dildo malfunctioning]

SWEET TEA and VOICE OFF CAMERA: (laughing)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (moaning)

VOICE OFF CAMERA: I stepped on it by accident

SWEET TEA and VOICE OFF CAMERA: (laughing)

SWEET TEA: Thanks for letting me know about that.

VOICE OFF CAMERA: (laughing) Yeah..

SWEET TEA: (laughing)

[cut back to two Shines]

SHINE (LEFT): So I mean, just because I mean I ask this of everybody so I guess I’m going to ask you too… So uhm why do we keep making porn? Why do you make porn?

SHINE (RIGHT): So why do I want to make porno, like what’s the reason why I make porno and I keep making porno…uhm… it’s a fascinating subject. Like sexuality is an endlessly fascinating subject. Uhm you know its also, I think what fascinates me the most are you know like, the small details. A lot of times it’s the outtakes that I think are like my most favorite part because just like little small intimate details of like the person which a lot of which like come through in the final edits but you know there’s other little bits and pieces that don’t quite make it into the piece but I think that’s also one of the things that intrigues me about sexuality is not just the acts but also the odd intimacies within and behind the acts you know..

[cut to bedroom scene with Sweet Tea]

VOICE OFF CAMERA: Alright.

SWEET TEA: (laughing)

[cut]

SWEET TEA: (laughing)
VOICE OFF CAMERA: (laughing)

[cut]
SWEET TEA: (moaning)
[cut into Sweet Tea slamming the dildo on the chair]

[cut into two Shines]

SHINE (LEFT): Awesome, so, what’s… what’s in store for Pink and White? What’s in store for the Crash Pad Series?

SHINE (RIGHT): Well, what’s in store for the crash pad series… actually whats coming next is the long awaited three way. I mean I booked this scene at least three months in advance because I was like “We’re doing these scene. We’re finally doing this scene.” You know… it’s Princess Donna, Lorelai Lee, and Jake. And it’s an amazing scene. Its awesome and you know like talking about those funny, awkward, like intimate moments. They’re just they’re awesome personalities. So you know they have a wonderful scene coming up. And you know as far as Pink and White Productions we’re shooting our next feature in June which is called Champion. Talk about that a little bit… it’s an MMA Boxing porno and the lead you know is of course you know, Shawn, aka Syd Blakovich. So it’s gonna be really, it’s gonna be an awesome movie.

SHINE (LEFT): Exactly.

SHINE (RIGHT): Mmhm, exactly.

SHINE (LEFT): Okay… alrighty… so that’s a wrap and uhmm..

SHINE (RIGHT): Cool! Thank you!

SHINE (LEFT): ???

SHINE (RIGHT): Alright. Have a good one!

SHINE LEFT: And great…you know it’s always [Shine (Right) says “???”] a pleasure to talk to you and thank you guys for being a wonderful audience [Shine (Right) says “Most definitely.”] We’ve got an amazing scene coming up next. [Shine 3 comes says “Hey guys…”] So please stay tuned and [Shine 3 says “Whats up? Are you guys doing an interview?] Cut.. [Shine 3 says “Ah sweet man”] Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut.

Behind the Scenes 67: Danny Deviant’s Solo

Once again Crash Pad director Shine Louise Houston is put on the spot… by Shine Louise Houston! Shine asks Shine all you’ve been dying to know about the Crash Pad Roadshow, including hanging out with the folks at Smitten Kitten. Meanwhile, Danny Deviant talks about what it was like filming her first scene.

Behind the Scenes 67:  Danny Deviant’s Solo

Shine #1:  Hi, I am Shine Louise Houston and I am here to talk about Devina (sp?) Deviant’s solo scene and also talk about the process of making the Crash Pad road show.

Shine #2:  And I’m also Shine Louise Houston throwing in my two cents about the whole experience doing that solo scene.

Shine #1:  yeah, the solo that you saw today was kinda a last minute change uh but that happens a lot. Uh, and um, well it so happened that we got Devina   while we were at Smitten Kitten doing a little presentation.  Thank you, Smitten Kitten.

Shine #2:  We love Smitten Kitten.  They’re great.  Thanks.

Shine #1:  Yes, we definitely, we love Smitten Kitten.  Um, and uh, she was there with a friend of hers.  And I made the incredible faux pas of thinking that they were uh together when actually they were sisters.

Shine #2:  Yeah, total bone head.

Shine #1:  Yeah, owie.  But anyway so they informed me of that so it wouldn’t be like a couple scene, it would b e a solo cuz that would be kinda weird. Um, yeah and uh, I think we got a really amazing solo scene.  The, you know, the place that where we shot it was pretty cool.

Shine #2:  It was good.  It was really nice lighting.  I don’t know, I dug it, it was fun.  That’s all.

Shine #1:  Yeah, so you know let’s see what Devina has to say about the shoot and then we’ll come back and we’ll talk about the road show.

Devina: Ok.

Shine: Um, you’ll walk in, give us, give us a second like right at the edge of the bed.  Like look around like ‘hmph there’s nobody here.’

Devina: Ok

(not sure who’s speaking):  Can I see you at the door again?

Shine:  Hands (clap) Thank you.  Sorry.

Unsure: That’s so disturbing.

(laughter)

Shine:  So how’d you like the shoot today?

Devina:  It’s pretty fucking awesome.  It was more enjoyable than I thought it would be, when I knew it would be enjoyable but yeah.  After the nerves wore off a little bit it was pretty awesome.

Shine:  What did you find challenging about the shoot?

Devina:  Probably getting here in the first place.  (laughs)  Uh, I don’t know but, yeah, once again over the first (?) anxiety it was nothing bad to say about it.  It was awesome.

Shine:  Uh, why did you decide to shoot today and then what were the circumstances around you shooting today?

Devina:  Well, I wanted to do it when you guys first came through and then I guess we waited too long and it was like awww damn, you know.  And then the opportunity arose and half of me was like I really really hope I can do it and the other half was like I really really hope she’s full.  So, I did and I called off work.  Hope they don’t know that.  And I came here and yeah, was expecting and hoping to have a great time and I did.  I’ve been thinking about doing porn for a while, like, definitely not mainstream, you know.  I don’t have to be prompted and you know get size D tits and all that shit.  But, no, it’s just like it’s fucking natural.  It’s something I love.  It’s something other people love.   And if watching you know other people have sex can make me happy why can’t I make somebody else happy?  So, there you go.

Shine:  Awesome.  Thank you.

Devina:  Thank you.  Appreciate it.

Shine: Whoo hooo.  Yay!

Shine #1:  So, this is the first time doing Crash Pad Road Show. So, why don’t you talk a little bit about your experience doing the road show and traveling?

Shine #2:  So yeah, doing the road show was something really different for us.  Um, uh, we have a lot of people who, uh, who will apply to Crash Pad but they’re out of state.  Um, and you know we’re still relatively small so we don’t really have the budget to fly everybody out um all the time so I know there’s a lot of people who aren’t, um, in California or in the San Francisco Bay area who wants to shoot with us, so it was interesting you know for us to go to them.  Um, so you know, we got to, you know, network with a lot of other people like in Seattle.  We got to hang out with the folks at Smitten Kitten and you know It’s Our Pleasure, we got to hang out with them in Portland.  Um, and just like meet a whole new pool of people who are, you know, potential Crash Pad models.  Yeah, watch out for the next call in your town.

Shine #1: That’s great.  Thanks.

Shine #2: Awesome.

Director 2: You weren’t there dude.

Director 1: Yeah. That’s Right.

Director 2: Yeah. You weren’t there.

Director 1: I wasn’t there for that shoot. Every once in awhile, I have Shay Vouyer, the co-director take over the shoot when I’m really busy. And right now, you know, things are really busy. So we’re trying to launch two new sites and I’m also writing the script for our next big feature.

Director 2: Two!

Director 1: But you know, Im always really happy when we have butches of color on the site you know I definitely like to have more representation of butches of color..

Director 2: Why don’t you do a scene dude? Do a scene. You should do a scene for Crashpad. Right? Come on!

Director 1: Uhhhh…Well… that brings us to our next…Good segue. That’s a really really good segue. So the point of contact, so the idea is that we’re gonna be sending some mirco financing and cameras out to people nationally and hopefully internationally in the future, so people can create their own content and distribute it through our website. And I may or may not be doing a scene for that project.

Director 2: Maybe possibly.

(coughing)

Director 2: Why don’t we roll that clip now.

(background conversation and laughter)

Cyd: Hello, my name is Cyd Loverboy. I’m 25 years old, a female to male Transsexual and a complete slut!

Cyd: First time that you’ve encountered a vagina?

XXX: First ever.

Cyd: Was it hot?

XXX: Yeah, it really was.

(both laughing)

Eve: Hi I’m Eve Minax.

Eve: It’s time for your inspection, I hope you don’t…

XXX: Fail.

Eve: Fail. Thank you.

Tina: I’m Tina Horn. Oh. Oh. She just needed a breath.

Alabama: Hi, I’m Alabama and this is my real life boyfriend.

Wailun(sp?): Hi, I’m Wailun.

Alabama: There isn’t a whole lot I can think of that’s sexier than getting in the back of a pickup truck and fucking.

Wailun: (laughter) Yeaaah.

Carson: I’m very excited because we’re gonna do a medical play scene. You know, other than a gorgeous woman walks into our clinic and what can we do.

XXX: Fucking boring ass job.

XXX: I know.

XXX: Ooo, ok… Are… you.. sure that this is necessary…

(laughing)

XXX: Stop looking at XXX!!

XXX: It was her! It was her!

Director 1: So yeah, so for you know everybody who is interested in working with us but you know either we weren’t able to fly you out or you weren’t able to make it out to San Francisco. There are options, you can still work with us. If you just go to darkhorsetheaters.com and you click on the link for the Point of Contact Project you’ll see there’s a producer application and you can go ahead and apply online. You know and we’ll get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

Director 2: As soon as we can

Director 1: And we’ll start talking about new projects.

Director 2: Yeah, new projects.

Director 1: Yeah. Thanks.

Director 2: Thanks.

Behind The Scenes 85 – Juliet March’s Solo

Shine drops in on a very exhausted Shine, who has pulled an all-nighter to bring you Juliet’s solo. We get a glimpse of the new space (it was more than a paint job!) and a bit of insight into how solo shoots differ from regular scenes. Then, Juliet talks about her career in porn thus far, have worked for Kink.com thus far and getting to branch out of the sub role she takes on there. The last thing she wants to create is more standard hetero-normative porn – “It’s really boring,” she says. “It doesn’t look like me, it doesn’t look like my friends, it doesn’t look like my partner, it doesn’t even look like me and my boyfriend, my male-bodied boyfriend! So what are we supposed to relate to?”

Shine Dressed: Ahh, pulling another all-nighter, are we?
Shine Jammies: *big sigh*
Shine Dressed: Uh, So, how’d you feel about the shoot today?
Shine Jammies: How’d I feel about the shoot? I felt good about the shoot. It’s good. Umm… I’m always thoroughly impressed by people who can pull off a solo, just cause, you know, it’s just you and the cameras, so, a lot respect for that, a lot of respect for Juliet. Yeah, and we have a new space. You know, I think part of why the shoots continue to go so well, is cause, I think we’re able to give, to create, I think, a really nice, safe and relaxed space, and now we have more space to create… uh, space.
Shine Dressed: Yeah, well, you know, let’s uh, why don’t we turn it over the Juliet to see what she had to say about the shoot today. Alright, here we go.

Juliet: I really liked the shoot. It was really fun, and I got off a couple times, which is always nice to do in the morning (laughing) it’s like ten o’clock in the morning. And, yeah, it was really cool, it was great. You know, I was a little nervous coming in because, well, you know, I jerk off all the time, but, not for the camera and not undirected, you know. When it’s for a video, um, I’m usually pretty well directed, which is something that I hate, and also something that, now that I don’t have it, I was a little bit nervous, but it went fine and time went by quickly, and I wasn’t stuck with my thumb up my ass or anything.

Hand: Ready?
Shine: Yeah
Hand: (clap)
Shine: Oh, I didn’t…
Hand: No?
Shine: Nah, you had
Hand: Oh
Shine: OK, Now I got you
Hand: (clap)
Shine: Thank you. Alright
Camera: Alright, I’m not registering any sound

Shine: Uhh… Thank you!
(laughter)
Juliet: Hmm. Hi!

J: I’ve been doing porn for just about only this year, for, since, I believe March was my first one shoot. But, I’ve been a sex-worker for two years and I was dancing and I was doing shows, and I was always really skeptical about doing porn and I’m still really particular about who I do porn for because there’s a lot of really shitty, not hot videos floating around the internet and there doesn’t need to more of those. So, for the last year I’ve been shooting for kink.com and I’ve worked my way around most of their sites in the past few months, and I love them because they do a lot of really cool stuff with BDSM that I don’t necessarily get to do in my personal life, I mean there’s stages, and there are Doms and their equipment is just so extravagant, and it’s so well-maintained that I’m able to do all this really exciting stuff. And it also doesn’t incorporate a large majority of my sex life outside of that really really strict sub role that I play in those videos, which is really fun, but, doing queer porn and doing a shoot for crash pad is really exciting because I get to explore things outside of that. And I get to show you guys how I would jerk off, or how I would, you know, fuck my friend, you know, or a partner, if there wasn’t someone there directing me all the time and putting lipstick on my face, or whatever, or sticking stupid bows on my head… with leather (whispering)! I think queer porn is really important and I hope there’s more and more videos online that are able to represent people outside of the heterosexual *economy, and outside of this like really heteronormative sex that I usually see online that I think is really boring, and doesn’t look like me, and doesn’t look like my friends, and doesn’t look like my partner, and, you know, doesn’t even look like me and my boyfriend, my male bodied, male boyfriend. It’s like, what are we supposed to relate to? And, so, this is really an exciting thing to be a part of, and I hope people watch it and I hope people make it, and, yeah…

Shine Dressed: Alright, buddy. What was challenging today?
Shine Jammies: Well, I was worried that, you know, for me, I worry that the edit’s going to be boring, but I think that’s just my own insecurity, cause I think it was a really cute and very genuine scene. It’s also a little difficult to shoot because I think it’s really easier to follow the energy of a couple than to follow the energy of just one person. Um, so, that’s a little bit of a challenge, too, so…
Shine Dressed: I think, with the scene, yeah, it was pretty cool, but I understand, it’s not the same oomph. So, the big question, why do you keep doing porn, you know?
Shine Jammies: Cause, it’s what I do now, it’s the only thing that really gets me amped and excited. The projects that I think up for Pink & White are the ones that are just like, “gah!” They make me really excited, like, I wanna do it,and I wanna do it now! I still have to check in with myself a lot, about like, you know, is this it? Am I doing the right thing? Blah blah blah blah blah. But today, you know, you ask me today, why do I do it? Shine Dressed: Alright, I’ll catch you later
Shine Jammies: Alright. I’m gonna get back to it.
Shine Dressed: OK
